Simple lunch. I had some pre-steamed fingerling potatoes from this weekend and reheated then in my sandwich panini maker to get them nice and crispy. (You can use a waffle iron too). I added a side of leftover steamed butternut squash (I buy the precut bags from Sprouts and Trader Joe’s). I added some seasonings on top and some leftover seed granola I made last week for a crunch. Finished it off with some cucumber slices for some color and freshness. So simple and satisfying! Made entirely with foods already in my fridge and ready to go. Big batch cooking and food prep 1 or 2 days a week is the only way I’ve been able to sustain eating this way. I always steam a bunch of potatoes each week, they’re my go to. And I often have at least one type of bean, one lentil dish, at least one homemade dressing or sauce and lots of fruits and veggies on hand. It makes throwing a meal together a synch! A simple salad of organic greens, hormone-free chicken (leftover), roasted zucchini (also leftover), carrots and cucumber, topped off with a dairy-free creamy avocado dressing I invented. 😜 I don’t have exact measurements for the dressing, but I blended together 1 avocado, lemon juice, olive oil, coconut milk, garlic powder and pink salt, and continued to adjust until the desired taste and consistency was reached.

Most days I eat to nourish my body and other days I treat myself. So if you’re feeling bad because when you scroll Instagram everyone’s working out and eating healthy and you just had a piece of church’s chicken, just remember they may treat themselves once in a while too. They’re probably just not posting it. 😆.
In all seriousness, eating intuitively is what works for me and I really try to refrain from beating myself up when I treat myself. Being healthy for me isn’t just about what I’m eating, it’s also about how I’m TALKING to myself. I would never say to a friend, “omg you’re so gross you just ate a piece of cake” I would prob say, “ ooh, was that good?”.
How are you talking to yourself when it comes to the things you’re putting in your mouth? When we eat intuitively and listen to how it makes our body feel, this can help us change the negative inner dialogue. Instead of, “ I feel so gross” you can say, “I don’t feel so energetic from eating that” it makes a huge difference and totally helps me make healthier choices and I hope this post helps you too! ❤️👍🏻 #stylingtheinside
I am making falafel salads (from LEAN & CLEAN) tonight for dinner, but I'm not a fan of Tzatziki sauce because I think it's too watery. Here is a new dressing I put together for tonight's dinner. It's luscious!
1 large zucchini, peeled and cut into chunks
2 T fresh lemon juice
3 T unsweetened plain yogurt (I used the soy yogurt I make in my #InstantPot
1 small clove of garlic
1/4 t cumin powder
1/4 t salt
Blend until smooth!

It only matters if YOU think it matters.
What do I mean?
We are often so worried about what others are thinking about us - how we look, what we say or do - that we stop thinking about how it's getting in the way of what we want (of how our minds are getting in our way). Since today is focused on well-being in Body, in particular I am talking about when we're intimidated by movement.
Whether we're intimidated by going to the gym and working out because of all the other people, if we're scared to ask to work in with someone else when it comes to a machine or bench, we're self-conscious about going out for a walk or run. Whatever the case may be, we become more focused on what we think others may be thinking about what we're doing that we lose sight of what we want/need in the meantime.
Here's the truth: All that time and energy we spend worrying about others' opinions is much better spent on action toward what you want.
Most people are viewing life from their own perspective, and at front and center is themselves. They really aren't spending a lot of time thinking about how you look when you exercise, if you work in at a machine, etc. They are doing what they're doing because they are focused on what they want to achieve.
So, stop worrying about what others think because I guarantee you that they are thinking more about what they're doing (and what's going on in their minds) than about you and what you're doing.
Focus on what matters:
What you want to achieve and why.
What you want to feel and why.
And take action.

I tried Eggslut this morning
This place always has a line in front of it, but it is deceptive because the interior is very small
Great marketing though, it makes it look as though the restaurant is always in super high demand
I ordered the breakfast cheeseburger
The initial impression as I inspected it in the rapper was underwhelming, as it looked to be all bun
However I realize the bun was stacked after I unwrapped it fully
ingredients were perfectly balanced with each other; The beef patty was about medium and deviously greasy without over saturating the bread
The bacon was perfectly crisp and the cheese was melted at just the right consistency to be gooey but not stringy
The one downside was the egg, which was done over easy and the yoke subsequently dripped off the bun
That said, There was a enough bun to mop it up
The mayonnaise spread the used was a particularly flavorful and the addition of a few strategic a slice a pickle added a refreshing crunch and a blast of saltiness
overall I would give it a 4.5 out of five stars, cooking the egg bit longer would have improved upon it, But the flavor and satiation fact was definitely excellent

Have you tried celery juicing? On my 50th day and it has helped me tremendously!! 💪💚 I feel so much better, overall less pain, weight loss and inches, improves mood, clear mind, lots of energy, more peaceful and calm and happy. We do add an apple and 1 inch piece of ginger to our celery juice. We drink 32 oz every day followed by the heavy metal detox smoothie. The combination is powerful and healing. We have stayed away from gluten, sugar, corn, lowered our grain and bean intake and eat 70-80 percent raw then dinner is cooked with veggies, potatoes and sweet potatoes baked or steamed with either no oil or very little. We hydrate with raw honey, lemon ginger or lemon water and a combo of aloe vera juice or watermelon or grape slushees. We make healing and healthy soups. Eating to live not living to eat. This piece was an honor to do as Dr. Sebi’s teachings have made a positive impact on my lifestyle as I’m currently practicing & learning more everyday about heath & healing. The name of this piece simply is ‘Unity of Health’ & it is 4ft x 3ft. I’ve incorporated fruits/veggies/herbs from Dr. Sebi’s nutritional list as the border as a portal to health & love. Inside the border/portal there is a group of mixed race children dancing & holding hands celebrating health, love & unity; the young African boy is delivering Dandelion Greens & Chamomile flowers to his African Goddess in the sky or Mother Nature. The scene is taken place in Africa, silhouettes of Elephants, Giraffes & Baobab trees fill the background to pay homage to Dr. Sebi’s roots. The clouds take form of a map of the world depicting Unity. This piece was extra special to me as I’ve been studying & implementing Dr. Sebi’s nutritional knowledge. Once I heard of the contest on the 27th of August I wasted no time & completed this piece in roughly 50 hours. I used no projection, stencil, digital programs nor any physical aid; I relied on passion for art & health to deliver the message of ‘Unity of Health’ to pay homage to the great Dr. Sebi. Spaghetti squash and broccoli sprinkled with nutritional yeast flakes. An easy way to cut squash in half is to just warm it up in the microwave for a few minutes. Give it a minute to cool then cut it in half length wise. Scoop out the seeds. Place to two halves open side down on a pan and roast at 410f for 20min or more. Use a fork to scoop out the stringy spaghetti like flesh. I just sautéed some broccoli in an iron skillet to mix with it today. #spaghettisquash #spaghetti #broccoli
