These amino acids and micros help our bodies to safety transform and package harmful toxins so they can be accreted from the body.
If we don’t have these cofactors in sufficient amounts we not be able to fully detoxify and this could leave these toxins in an even more harmful state then before the detox process started. .

A summertime special --- peach and blueberry cobbler (made with wild blueberries, of course). I used a blend of gluten-free whole grain flour (purchased @thebigcarrot
) for the biscuits and they were particularly good, if I do say so myself. All I added was a big scoop of homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Sure hope summer never ends.

Here’s how we make it (full recipe with 🥓🍳 is linked in profile)👇⠀
▫️1/3 cup mayonnaise⠀
▫️1 clove garlic⠀
▫️small bunch of chives⠀
▫️16 oz. loaf artisan bread⠀
▫️2 large tomatoes⠀
▫️flaky sea salt⠀
▫️olive oil ⠀
1️⃣Put mayonnaise in a small bowl.⠀
2️⃣Mince garlic as small as you can and add to mayo bowl.⠀
3️⃣Zest and juice lemon (you’ll need half) and add 1 Tbsp. lemon juice to mayo bowl. Save zest.⠀
4️⃣Wash and thinly slice the chives.⠀
6️⃣Slice tomatoes and lightly toast bread. You want the slightest hint of crunch.⠀
7️⃣Layer mayo mixture on bread, and top with: tomatoes + drizzle of olive oil + flaky salt + freshly ground pepper + lemon zest + chives. ⠀
Lunch is served, and boy does it look good. 🤤🍠🍳Cook a pasture raised organic egg in raw butter and dill. Grill an organic chicken breast with black pepper, garlic, cumin, pink sea salt and avocado oil. Finally, add some roasted sweet potato toast, sautéed spinach, sprouted sesame seeds, nacho chips, and habanero sauce. Enjoy! #eatinggood #avocadooil #avolution

Naturally, I found myself in a rabbit hole of comparing organic versus non-organic and learning that some beloved brands of the past have been bought out by some conglomerate big hitters who are notoriously known for preference for profit over the health well-being of the People. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’ve been there too. Once my very first CrossFit coach left my first gym I got almost 0 coaching from my actual coaches. I was in classes working just as hard as everyone else and being completely ignored. I’ve done diet plans and online templates where there was no human interaction or coaching; I was just handed a sheet of paper or excel spreadsheet and told to follow it and I’d “see results.” 🔆
Did I? 🔆
No one had bothered to teach me WHAT I should know to not only help me understand the WHY, but also teach me the proper WAY to keep me nourished properly, safe in my movement, and feeling like I mattered. 🔆
And as a result I felt like I didn’t matter. Like I wasn’t good enough to bother with. I was even told by a coach that I asked stupid questions and that I wouldn’t make a good coach because I was always the last one done. 🔆
That’s why I coach differently. In both CrossFit and in Nutrition. 🔆
Every single one of my clients is unique and different and deserves to be held in the spotlight. I use names and I use them often because that’s how positive human connections are made. Whether you’re on the other end of the phone line, computer screen or standing right in front of me. 🔆
I educate continually because it’s my job to make sure you understand WHY I’m asking you to do things; whether it be because you could get hurt, because it will help you get stronger or become more efficient in movement, because certain foods interact in certain physiological processes in certain ways, or because it will help you move forward in progress in general. 🔆

I FAILED 😂😬 but if I’m honest with you, I like these cookies more!! Being as they are high in protein, healthy fats and have their fair share of complex carbs, they really are the perfect breakfast cookie. Being as them are low in sugar, there won’t be a nasty crash as well!✋🏻 Each cookie only has about 3 grams 🍌 .

Trading my usual overnight oats for a berry smoothie bowl this morning.😌💫 Low in sugar, high in fiber and healthy fats to keep me going, with an extra adaptogenic/probiotic boost.⚡️
- 1/4 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1/4 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 tbsp cashew butter
- 1 tbsp @pranabio
- 2 tsp @organictraditions
maca for women with probiotics
- 1 tsp pure vanilla
- Pinch of pink salt
- Oat milk (or other plant-based milk) for blending
Blend on low, then gradually increase the speed and blend until completely smooth. Add more milk if needed to help it out. Pour into a bowl, drizzle with a spoonful of @organictraditions

I have been healing from hardcore adrenal fatigue for the last few years. I have been running low for sometime and realize I am still pushing myself to my max. I think I can do it all and not relax. In fact, I put myself down for slowing down. It’s exactly why I’m not fully healing. So instead of going further down this route, I will be kind to myself and respect my body where I am at . .
If I lived on a fast forward button for over 20 plus years it’s not going to change in a few years. It takes time to calm down the body and the mind. I am finding my balance in between my type A personality and peace ✌️ I will get there and my body will heal fully !! .

The other night, my husband gave our son and my friend’s son a bath. The next day, my friend called and asked, “what hippie gypsy voodoo magic did you use on my baby in the bath?!” I ask her what she was talking about, and she told me that her son is usually COVERED in a rash and his skin was clear. I told her that we didn’t do anything special, just used the YL shower gel.

One question that I get quite often is, “Do you just use oils instead of taking your kids to the doctor?” The answer to that is NO. If it is something minor, then yes, I will use home remedies. But for big scary fevers and serious situations, I always take my children to the doctor.
I do not recommend using oils in lieu of medical care EVER. If you or your child needs medical care, GO TO THE DOCTOR!
Here is where oils come into play; my son had his first dose of an antibiotic, but guess what, he’s still miserable. This is where I use oils to give him a little more support 🌱
