**original story on @earljrglass
I recently traveled to Dallas Fort Worth, Texas to make art with my friends at @greyareastudio
. Darron (Earl Jr.) and I met at the "Sherlock Showdown" at Grey Area studios in 2016 and we vibed with each other's energy, world view and experience. When I went home and looked up everyone at the show, I realized Darron wasn't only a swell fella but also a truly innovative and absolutly stellar artist!
Working with Darron allowed me to see that the attitude we hold, definitely comes through and into our art. Patience, positivity and love 🌌🌌🌌. Initially, I went to the DFDubDub to throw down on a Quasartech Teseract and maybe do some work with my buddy @flexglass
. I am so appreciative that Darron and @yunkglass
has created such a wonderful refuge for glass artists in Dallas becuase there is so much talent there at Grey Area, that I ended up being a part of 12+ projects with new and old friends! #toohype
Keep an eye out for spaced out art with:
This UV reactive Teseract has stunning details all over it yo...A crashed UFO with an Alien visitor chillin on the can, a Quasartech Bonsai tree that is part of the #bitemechallenge
, 2 bright dichro and fume galaxy marbles each with a unique scene captured, Pinwheels and millis in the mouthpiece stem that look like blackholes... The Quasar tech was done on a UV reactive, very sparkly tubing called Atomic Blue stardust by @trautmanartglass
that offers a background sparkle to the big chunks of dichro and fume that is in the foreground. Basically, it's sparkle to the max...
Big thanks to Flex for being a wonderful host and Yunk n Flex for letting me crash at yall's pad.
Also, to @american_glass_roots
for havin the colors and tubing we needed in a pinch🙏🙏🙏.
Much love yall!
