Lymphedema is seen as a potential side effect of breast cancer surgery or radiation therapy that can appear in some people during or after the cancer treatments.
Surgery and radiation can cut off or damage some of the nodes and vessels through which lymph moves. Over time, the flow of lymph can overwhelm the remaining pathways, resulting in a backup of fluid into the body’s tissues.
There’s no way to know for sure whether you’ll develop Lymphedema after breast cancer, you can however help yourself by learning more about it and doing periodic visits with a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in order to re-evaluate the limb and receive trustworthy clinical advice.

«Не люблю общаться с фитнес тренерами- все ту мач самоуверенные, помешанные на внешности, топят как одержимые за протеин и присед, и уж эта корона на голове что сам себе тело построил- как будто войну прошёл ...» (с) Ксения, стаж тренерства 3 года.
. "I do not like to communicate with fitness coaches, everyone too confident, obsessed with appearance, vote for protein and squat, and this crown on the head coz they built a body by themselves, like they went through the war ..." (c) Ksenia, practice of coaching for 3 years.

CryoTherapy involves dry, hyper-cooled air with no moisture flowing over the skin surface, so the process never freezes skin tissues, muscles or organs. The body is being tricked into believing that this extreme cold is life threatening. CryoTherapy is tolerable even to those who consider themselves cold intolerant.

Any remedy for swollen legs?
Many of us think that Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) massage is going to be painful, when there is a word “massage”; as somehow it is wrongly associated with deep tissue work.
For those who have just had surgery, the last thing they imagine that they want to have is a massage on their swollen, sensitive and bruised bodies. However, MLD is pain-free, offers tremendous healing benefits, and believe it or not, it is quite relaxing.
With all the benefits of MLD, it’s understandable why the modality is growing in interest from surgeons. The typical side effects of post-op surgery can be significantly reduced with MLD, minimizing downtime and discomfort and providing much more successful results of the surgery.
