The Emerald Archer
Directed by Chad Stahelski
The movie opens with text saying 1 year ago. A yacht, with the words The Queen’s Gambit emblazoned on the side, is sailing in stormy seas. Suddenly, a boom tube opens above it, and the ship is torn in half from the shockwave. Oliver Queen (Garrett Hedlund) can be seen diving into a lifeboat after his father (Kin Shriner) as the wreckage of the ship sinks. Text reads Now. A Chinese fishing boat is seen in the water off the coast of an island. Text reveals the island as Hǎixīng. Suddenly, a crudely made arrow lands in the ship, right between the feet of one of the fisherman. They grab binoculars, looking at the shore of the island, to see Oliver Queen, with long hair, a beard, and a green shawl, waving to get their attention. They anchor the ship and send out a boat to rescue him. One week later, he’s back in Star City, in the hospital. Since both of his parents died in the shipwreck, only one person comes to visit him: His girlfriend, Dinah Lance (Yvonne Strahovski). After he leaves the hospital, she discusses with him the fact that the entire world thought he was dead, and that most of his assets were liquidated while he was away. He has his house, and about 5 million dollars that was in his trust fund before he left. He, in turn, discusses his time on the island. He was forced to get into shape, and made a makeshift bow and arrows in order to hunt for food. He had washed up on the island 5 days after the shipwreck, and both his parents had died from injuries on the lifeboat. He returns home, saying his goodbyes to Dinah. He kept one secret from her: his plight had inspired him to improve the conditions in his city—he had elected to use his nearly superhuman archery skills to become a vigilante. [MORE IN COMMENTS]
Nothing like holding a heart, the magnificent organ that supplies blood and nutrients to the rest of the body, in the palm of your hand.
Let’s take the path of blood as it travels back to the heart from feeding our vital organs with life-giving oxygen. As blood travels through veins, clearing venous valves, it reaches the right atrium of the heart. Once the tricuspid valve opens, blood travels through and reaches the right ventricle, reaching its first truly muscular ventricular wall. With ventricular contraction (aka systole), the pulmonic valve blows open, allowing the blood to reach the pulmonary arteries. Blood swishes through, traveling down each branch and sub-branch of the arteries as they divide into individual capillaries, making 1-to-1 contact with alveoli in the lungs. It is at these alveoli that the red blood cells in blood receive oxygen, ready to be pumped once again to our vital organs.
But first, blood must return black to the left side of the heart, traveling down the pulmonary veins and into the left atrium, where it will encounter the tricuspid’s counterpart, known as the mitral valve. As the mitral valve opens, blood rushes through, awaiting the contraction of our heart's most powerful muscle - the left ventricle. With systole, the left ventricle contracts, swinging open the aortic valve, and blood swishes through into the aorta, all to see the very organs it fed just a few cardiac cycles ago.
And with each heartbeat, the process repeats over and over again ⏳⌛️❤️Do Share With Friends↗️

O grupo incluía as versões originais de Átomo (Atom), Sandman, Espectro (Spectre), Flash, Gavião Negro (Hawkman), Senhor Destino (Doctor Fate), Lanterna Verde (Green Lantern), Homem-Hora (Hourman) e Johnny Trovoada (Johnny Thunder). ***** The Justice Society of America was the first group of superheroes to appear in the comic books.
