After spending hours cleaning and throwing trash, couches, dressers, chairs and desks away, it's finally time to celebrate OUR birthday!!

I am part of a Disney Women’s group and this month we decided to do a private Fireworks Cruise out on Seven Seas Lagoon. It was so incredibly amazing! They play the music on the boat and everyone sat in silence because we were in such awe. I already told Peter I want to go for my birthday next year with him and the kids. ❤️

I don't normally do detoxes except for after a vacation or a "binge" weekend. By that I mean, holidays, football games, birthdays, you know, a lot of junk eating in a row. 🍔🍕🥪🧀🍿🌮🍹🍸 I do them when I feel sluggish, crappy or just not right.

When I woke up today, I couldn't talk. I had no voice, a burning throat and a migraine. I instantly thought that today would be a wash. Instead of letting that happen, I decided to take control and see what I could do to make myself feel better.
I didn't talk. At all. I kept quiet for 8.5 hours until my appointment. I drank tea with honey, Gatorade and water. I gargled salt water. I drank my breakfast (Shakeology) and my lunch (soup). I called into work because my job is 90% talking and I didn't want to make things worse.
Then my husband texted me saying he was on his way home from work and asked what was for dinner. I told him he would find out AFTER our workout. His response: "WE'RE WORKING OUT?!?! I thought you were sick?!?!" To which I replied " I can't talk, but that doesn't mean I can't move!" And move we did!! I honestly feel better now that I've rested my throat. I know not everybody can call in when they want, but I knew if I went to work today, my throat would be worse--WAY worse. And no, I didn't feel like working out when I got up, pshhh, I didn't even feel like getting up when I got up, lol. But I made the decision to take action. I ALWAYS tell myself "mindset is key!" And it is. If you believe that your THAT sick you can't do something, you won't. But if you REALLY think about how you feel, you'll see that usually you can push play and you'll feel better after, just like I did today.
