This time next week we prepare for the first day of a new school year. Summer has been unlike any other we’ve experienced before. .
We explored medieval castles and ancient ruins.. rocky beaches of the North Sea.. the windy peaks and wild moors of Derbyshire. The kids memorized the monarchs & wrote Shakespearean inspired plays. They swam in rivers.. planted gardens.. ate ice lollies and learned to make eggs any way you like it. .
England is beginning to lay claim to the kid’s hearts as it’s already captured their imaginations.
Wallace J. Nichols, a marine biologist, believes that we all have a "blue mind" -- as he puts it, "a mildly meditative state characterized by calm, peacefulness, unity, and a sense of general happiness and satisfaction with life in the moment" -- that's triggered when we're in or near water.
Benefits of finding your ‘blue mind’~
- Water gives our brains a rest - Water can induce a meditative state - Water can inspire us to be more compassionate and connected - A blue mind is a creative mind - Exercise by or in water is good for our bodies and brains
Where’s your favourite watery place? 🌊🌿

“If only there could be an invention that bottled up a memory, like scent. And it never faded, and it never got stale. And then, when one wanted it, the bottle could be uncorked, and it would be like living the moment all over again.”
- Daphne du Maurier - #fowey#foweyharbour#cornishriviera
The Suspension Bridge is one of many bridges along the #Bedford Embankment & River Great Ouse. There are many options for enjoying this beautiful area: a nice stroll, or cycling (there’s bike hire here), a boat trip with the community run John Bunyan Boat (have a cream tea aboard too!) or you can also canoe, kayak or stand up paddle board along it! 🚣♀️🚶♀️🚴♂️⛴🌉🌿🌊 Which would you rather do?
