hi, here’s my face 👋🏼 can i be real honest with you guys for a minute? i’ve been on a complete struggle bus when it comes to my nutrition habits. i almost typed out “diet,” but i don’t even want to call it that. 🍓 it’s tough because i feel like i’ve done so many programs over the years, from formal plans like weight watchers and jenny craig to tracking calories, tracking macros, and everything in between. 🍊 i have all the tools in my tool belt, and more knowledge about nutrition than i could ever imagine 😂but for some reason lately i’ve just had zero motivation to feed my body nutritious foods😒 🥦 almost daily lately i’ve been talking about how i need to get back on track with getting healthier, eating better, and planning meals better but nothing seems to stick. 🥕 have you ever experienced this? what got you out of your rut? also, if you need an accountability buddy please comment bc i’m desperately needing some accountability! 🙋🏼‍♀️

So got results from Everlywell! ☺😳 Only one moderate level allergy to crab 🦀and then 30 mild! Crazy. Some that came up coconut, almonds, coffee, dairy, a lot of grains, & eggs, lobster, etc....! The information from the website states you can do an elimination diet from the list and slowly reintroduce if you really enjoy something. Some foods I just have to limit vs. completly delete. So I've got to read more through my numbers on each food item and decide my plan of action for changing my diet. Just finished my first ever yoga session and a well needed pamper!! Wow! The difference I feel is absolutely amazing. Keeping intact with my breathing and quieting my mind has shaken off a lot of things in my day to day life that I seem to "worry" about, it's become one of those things that I'm just accepting it to be! Post 3. ...I then visited the doctor at the private clinic 2 weeks after my colonoscopy, he told me exactly what I have in detail and they will refer me back to NHS for regular appointments and to put me on the right medication, in the mean time to calm my bowels I was finally given something, which was steroids. I have always been slim so with steroids my face started getting chubby and I started to put weight on however that was the side effects of steroids. As time went on people would compliment me and say you look healthy little did they know what was going on. I then had regular appointments at the hospital, I was given medication to finally treat it, however the doctor said we need to do blood tests every week to monitor your white blood cells, if this reduces we will have to take you off them. As time went on I was also advised about diet changes, the dr said you will find out for yourself what you can eat and cant eat. I stopped fried food totally at the time, I cut down on spicey foods and made sure I was having less dairy products expecially hot chocolate. As time went on I was getting better and was in touch with my IBD nurse who was amazing. A few months later my jobs changed so I was back home, at the time my grandad passed away so I was so stressed out I was forgetting to take medication, however I found out that my health was getting better. I went back to my old gp who I had for years and he said you relocated and it may have been the water there, or the environment or even a big change in your life causing you stress. Alhamdullilah I am alot better now nowhere near to what I was. I mainly control it with diet. Alhamdullilah I dont get flare ups often however when I do I quickly start eating certain things to help it. Medication is not always the solution to your problem especially if you know what you have. Any questions feel free to ask me. Ps I know its not pleasant to talk about but sometimes these matters need to addressed in order to help one another. Video to come but, I was finally able to do unassisted pull-ups yesterday after working on it for many 🌛. My legs have always been my strong point and my upper body is extremely lacking in comparison (hence the name Raptor lol). I've been taking a break from training legs as often to focus on diet and really targeting my upper back and shoulders. Having well rounded muscularity is so important!!! Post 2. ..... I then went to see my GP who read the notes and finally decided to refer me to hospital, I went to the specialist who said I need to refer you to a private clinic to get your colonoscopy (camera going inside your stomach)done, so we can find out exactly what's wrong with you. I received my appointment in January 2015, which was a month after seeing the specialist at the hospital. I would like to point out here, I was suffering since early September 2014, so I felt here that finally people are taking me seriously. Before my colonoscopy I had another check up by a doctor at the private clinic, by this time I was drained because I was having to explain my problems again and again and everytime I explained my symptoms , I was having to fight my tears back. They explained the procedure and advised I will be able to go home on the same day. The day finally arrived and prior to this they gave me sachets to drink to clear my stomach which meant my trips to the toliet doubled to what they already were. I went into this room where they had about 5 different screens and the doctors were checking me, at this point I was so scared of the result more than anything. I came out of the room and was put in a ward, my stomach was so sore for a good 2 weeks. I was given breakfast and was told to relax, however my trips to the toliet got worse because of these sachets I drank. I waited patiently for my results. Finally a nurse walked in and handed over a leaflet with a folder and said "Here are you results, however you will get a follow up appointment from the doctor explaining in detail and the next steps, also its chrone's desease you have, there are some leaflets inside read them when you get home". I started crying as I heard the word desease and thought what the hell is that. What the fuck you guys.... I like can’t even believe these photos are real right now.. honestly.. my weight hasn’t changed at all since I started lifting weights again. And I felt horrible about it... but I don’t even feel bad at all anymore. Proof is in the pictures. Muscle weighs more than fat. Also- if you’re a woman.. Weightlifting won’t make you look like a man. We don’t have those hormones so don’t be scared to lift some heavy weights. I lift 5 days a week and do like 15-20 min of cardio 3 times a week. “Fuck cardio” is my favorite phrase... but I do it anyways cuz I’m supposed to. Today's grocery haul... I may have gone a bit overboard with the fruits and veggies, haha. And this doesn't include the six bags of veggies from another store that's in the back of truck! In my defense, there are a few gallon jugs and cans at the bottom of the pile :) * * * This week is the start of eating a primarily vegetarian diet. I'll be doing this for at least the next 3 months while working with my nutritionist to try to relieve the full body pain caused by my yet to be diagnosed autoimmune disease (on top of DDD, and my newly diagnosed Arthritis, & Fibromyalgia). As a total carnivore, this way of life is new to me and I sure as hell don't plan on eating salads for every meal. Get ready to see some different things for my meal prep posts! And if anyone can suggest some good places to find vegetarian recipes that would be awesome!! Ps: I'm still allowed to eat meat protein, just have to limit my intake. My goal is 3-4 ozs once a day, if at all.
Lamb steak, arugula, parsley, lettuce and basil from the garden, olive oil, chili flakes, sea salt, oven baked red cabbage, red onion and cauliflower. Delicious! My daughter and her boyfriend had sweet potatoes and rice added to the meal. We have noticed my daughter tolerate rice well. Her worst thing to eat is nuts, almonds, coconuts, dried beans, peas and absolutely worst of all is peanuts. Second worst are histamines, nightshades and carrots. After diet changes she switched from being ill 50 % of the time to being almost full time in school in three weeks. A dramatic improvement! After half a year, change of school and being able to exercise more, she is improving her grades from not managing at all to C's in a scale from A to F. Her ability to concentrate is very much improved! It is amazing to see! Her eczemas are gone and her stomach ache is gone. Her UVI's are gone, headaches, tiredness, bloated stomach are gone. Had a crappy week, tired, had chippy lunch at work, wine for tea. Really off the wagon today but this weekend going to go to a couple of #bodypump classes, drink lots of water and wallpaper our bedroom. Still cant believe the difference a year makes and so thankful I have started out loosing weight. Long way to go but getting there 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Still feel incredible and never a hesitation of doing the wrong thing or ever going back to carbs. Work has been mega mental and rarely get to train much so the change in my body now is strictly diet. Proof that you really don’t need carbs of any kind! . . The main thing! Still completely injury free! My tennis elbows and rotator cuff injury still havnt shown any evidence of coming back and still no colds or bugs 👌 keep listening to a lot of people complain about injuries or no energy... well? 😏🥩🥓 . . After my turmeric shot, I made breakfast. A smoothie of @clearspringuk Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder, banana, smooth peanut butter and coconut mylk. I have to ration my banana intake due to my #ileostomy I am struggling with my diet as it’s now a #stomadiet 🙄 Beige food, BEIGE FOOD I said! *grits teeth* So much for my #celerychallenge I’m no longer able to eat celery (along with 100s, ok I’m exaggerating, of healthy/plant based/vegan foods) 😳
Motivation is not what you need to get started and make lasting change, it's B$ . Motivation deserts you when you need it most. When you are trying to get out of bed I'm the morning to crush the day motivation is snoozing . When you want to change but there is so much temptation or distraction being motivated probably isn't going to help much . You need actions and more importantly you need a WIN! . Read that last line again👆 . You need to believe in yourself, trust yourself to make the necessary changes and have belief that you can win 😀💪 . You need a win, you need to get some wins under your belt because this us motivating, empowering and is evidence you can do it . Stop looking for motivation, look for a first win ◾pick something you can do consistently ◾make it something you can force yourself to do ◾set yourself a time frame ◾do what you said you would, make yourself do it ◾rinse and repeat . Once you get some wins under your belt you build my favourite thing MOMENTUM . Momentum is what you should be looking for, this is what keeps you going, keeps you making good choices and makes it easier to get back on track when you inevitably slip . First win for diet change? . Tracking or logging the food you eat 👍 . If you can get 5 days logged in myfitnesspal or a piece of paper then you have some insight into your current diet. We can then make changes from that, you pick your next win from that tracking . Perhaps you decide to swap the lunchtime Mars bar 🍫 for an 🍎, perhaps you reduce porting size.
