The current recommendations suggest that an individual with diabetes should consume no more than 200 milligrams (mg) of cholesterol each day because high levels of cholesterol in the bloodstream raises the risk of developing cardiovascular (heart) disease. ▪ Since all of the cholesterol is in the yolk, you can eat egg whites without worrying about how they’re affecting your daily consumption of cholesterol. But keep in mind that the yolk of an egg is the exclusive home of some key egg nutrients. Almost all the vitamin A in an egg, for instance, resides in the yolk. The same is true for most of the choline, omega-3s, and calcium in an egg. : In addition, be careful though about what you eat with your eggs. The greatest gap in our lives, between us and our goals, is the KNOWING vs DOING gap. What we KNOW vs what we DO. The 80/20 rule is the rule of KNOWING but the 21/90 rule is the rule of DOING. To get to my goal, I had to close this GAP from what I KNOW to what I DO. A popular method to build habits is called the 21/90 rule. The rule is simple enough. Committing to a goal for 21 straight days. After three weeks, the pursuit of that goal should have become a habit and once you’ve established that habit, you continue to do it for another ninety days(or 8-weeks). If you can keep up something for three weeks and then ninety days, then it should become a permanent lifestyle change. Doing one thing every day that has improved my quality of life in a major way, other than tracking my calories(and macros), has got to be how very empowering all this knowledge about me...and my body has become! Hypo on the go but recovering very quickly today. It just harder some days than the other. I don’t really understand why that is. But I do know I could have avoided this one, would I have used my brain a bit more. After a lifting session this morning I decided to add some cardio. I did an hour thai boxing. I ate well, was in control but that burn around 10 hours after hit me hard. I totally forgot about that, and it has happened numerous times before. So sometimes you only have yourself to blame and you just remind yourself that we just have to be on the ball at all times! 🤓
