Continuing to re-develop conventional that I had neglected for so long. 405x1,1, then 3 after finishing hook grip singles. 2x5 backdown sets @ 365. Conventional has definitely challenged my patience, as the lift subjectively seems to move much slower. Granted, today’s work was also on a stiff bar. 🤷🏻♂️
The plan is to continue to be a man with my deadlifts for 2-3 more mesocycles before determining if I should compete again, and if so if it will be eating butt or pulling conventional.
This is all pretty uncharted territory for me in terms of volume, specifically at these intensities for conventional. My erectors are fried, but no pain👍🏻

💪🏻🔩The Farmer Walk works the glutes, the lower back, the quadriceps, the hamstrings, the trapezius, the abdominal muscles and the forearms (grip strength is very underappreciated). While this list is very similar to traditional deadlifts it should be noted that trap bars deadlifts will stress the quads, the glutes, and the hamstrings just a little bit more than the traditional deadlift because it allows the lifter to squat further down, on the other hand the trap bar allows the lifter to lift more overall weight.
