Today was a wonderful reminder of why being held and empowered in a space is so important. Whether we’re doing deep and vulnerable work or the tedious, having a sense of belonging and welcoming is essential to sustaining, well, anything.
These women gave me a great (Chanukah!) gift today: Productive juju and good energy for a day of the not-so-glamorous, remedial part of my biz - the computer-facing stuff. Sarah (realizechange.org) started this casual co-working day for fellow women entrepreneurs, and we spent the afternoon connecting over shared interests and challenges and tapping away on our keyboards like the bosses we are. #ladyboss
I love meeting other biz owners like these ladies - @collective_impact @design_lauren @mircat18
(+ some others not pictured/on the ‘gram) - and hearing how they are turning their skills and passions into meaningful work. It keeps me going. We do better together!
P.S. if you’re a womxn-identifying freelancer interested in learning about this DC coworking group and Sarah’s wonderful work empowering women in their passion projects, message me and I’ll connect you!
