It was so obvious that Rachel's mother was evil! I knew it!
I couldn't help but to laugh went to saw that the one guy from the show "Castle" is playing Rachel's father. From what we saw in this episode, he doesn't seen especially threatening.
The whole plot is plausible, with Gar being poisoned and only Rachel's father being able to save him. But the only reason this all could happen because Starfire ran away and Grayson and Donna following. What would Rachel's mother have done if they didn't all go? Would she have poisoned all of them?
Now to the question about the ending of the episode: Why couldn't Donna and Starfire go through the barrier around the house? Probably because Donna is an Amazon and Starfire is an alien, while Grayson is a normal human and Rachel's father doesn't see him as a threat.
All in all, this an enjoyable episode that finally gives the plot some dramatic development.
Are you watching "Titans"? How did you like this episode?

This first issue is so F÷*/ed up. So the Batman who laughs (batman in another diemension who kills the joker that has a joker toxin in him that makes Batman turn into a psychopathic killer. This batman kills everyone in his world.) ends up in our Batman's universe and slowly starts to kill everyone. To defeat him Batman thinks he needs jokers help but when the joker shows up in the batcave he shoots himself in the heart, making Batman rush to his side. This also releases the joker toxin in him which turns our Batman into a psychopathic killer as well. (The Batman who laughs issue 1)
