Always remember who you are and what you are worth. I spent years allowing self doubt, a fear of failure and depression, run me. I told myself I’d never be like others, so why try? How wrong I was. How sad I let myself be. Once I told myself, I am worth it, I can do hard things, I may fail but I’ll keep trying... doors I thought were locked and barricaded off inside of me, were opened. I felt happy, positive, and energized. I woke up with a purpose and a desire to make my days the best they can be. I turned to a place of β€œHey, why not?”, β€œI’ll give it a try!” and β€œI can’t do it, YET.” With that mindset, I reminded myself that we are only here temporarily. So who cares if the neighbors are watching, who cares if I someone thinks I’m stupid for even trying? What matters is that I gave it a shot. I sent positive karma out to the world. I spread hope, inspiration and kindness while I’m here. So what about you? Do you dare to dream? Are you in the β€œHey, why not?” mindset? If not, I challenge you to give it a try. Picture 1: Me in the winter of 2016 hating myself. Low self worth, gaining weight by the minute and just miserable. I had been watching @jerriann_olson on her life journey of getting healthier, showing herself love and spreading inspiration. I figured, πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ why not me. Pic 2: After completing my first workout program, using portion control, doing self PD and learning how to max my nutrition. I was so proud! πŸ’« Pic 3: Now! I’ve been on my β€œloving myself” journey for 2 years now. I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been. I have gained so much strength, muscle and endurance in not only my body but also my mind. I’m a healthy and happy role model for my children and I love the skin I’m in. I didn’t go on a diet. I didn’t find a magic pill. So I’ve been listening to this book for some personal PD. Love that she talks about the fact that we must have fear to be sensible people, but we can’t let fear β€œdrive the car”. β€œGirl, Wash Your Face” is next on my list.
