If you want to learn about a culture, listen to their stories✨
Thank you to @kuer901
for an evening with the amazing, talented and fiery @maria_la_hinojosa
For those that don’t know, let me tell you about this mujer poderosa. She is a killer journalist and the anchor and executive producer of @latinousa
She is also the founder, president and CEO of Futuro Media Group and serves as the executive producer of @abtntv
which premiered on @pbs
She has been named three times as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics by Hispanic Business magazine for her work as a reporter for CBS, NPR, and CNN. She has won four Emmy Awards and the list goes on 😆🔥
Maria reminds me of the reason I continue to live out loud and the importance of making our stories known. Thank you for the reminder, “You are me and I am you.”🙏🏽❤️
REAL TALK TIME!!!!!💥💥💥 As a young child, throughout my teenage years and into my adulthood, I have struggled with self worth and confidence! My father was an alcoholic and life wasn’t easy growing up! Addiction is awful and as a result, everyone in our family suffered through so much emotional pain! I truly believed that I wasn’t enough for SO many years!
Sometimes, my anxiety sneaks in and these thoughts creep into my brain still now as an adult! But..... I’ve learned how to combat those negative thoughts with daily personal development and I am a survivor!
Forgiveness is a powerful thing and it truly has positively impacted my life! I can now say and believe that I AM ENOUGH because I AM WORTHY of all this life has to offer me! I am a mom of 4 and I will be the BEST I can be for them!
Most of the time, you don’t know what someone is going through! Choose to be kind because it does make a difference! The best part of my journey as a virtual lifestyle coach is learning how to tear down the walls that I have put up for protection all my life! The walls are crashing down and the mask has come off! Breaking the chains of destructive behavior has led me to FREEDOM that I can’t put into words.
WE NEED TO TALK…
The relationship you have w/ yourself can & will show up in your other relationships…
If you can’t listen, honor, love, & trust yourself, then others learn that this is the standard you set for how you see you’re worthy of being treated.
Coming off the stage is a sensitive time as we reevaluate our goals, plan for the next season, start building, & see a new body in the mirror daily.
Have you ever noticed that your post-show anxieties begin to show up in other parts of your life?
Like when you go out to eat w/ others & can’t stop justifying/explaining why you order what you do, when really, they never cared what you ordered, you’re the only one judging yourself; but now they don’t know what to do around you bc you’re in your own world of panic & fear?
Or when you go to the gym & someone makes a comment about how you’re ‘gaining weight’ & you take it so personally that it ruins your day & you can’t be the happy go-lucky person you normally are? When really, that person doesn’t understand the sport & you’re the one uncomfortable with your body changing?
Or like when you don’t feel as sexy in your skin w/o as many lines showing or as flat of a stomach as before, so you reject the desire to of share that intimacy with your love.
DO YOU SEE WHAT’S HAPPENING?
The chatter, doubts, fears, & self-consciousness that stems as a result of your relationship w/ your needs, actions, body, & self all end up manifesting in your daily life & relationships.
Our energy is constantly sending out vibrational frequencies that repel & attract energies based on what it aligns with. If you’re vibrating at a low frequency, you’re going to keep attracting low frequency thoughts, people, things, & results versus making a conscious effort to stay in a high vibe state & accept nothing less than the best into your own field!
What frequency are your thoughts & actions about your body, food, & exercise vibrating at? How is this impacting the rest of your life?
Stay tuned, tomorrow I’ll be discussing the dangers of being perfect & how flexibility creates more success in the long haul. Are you enjoying these? Tag your teammates 💝👙🤗
Who here is polar opposites with their spouse? 💁🏼 I love deep conversations and one on one time, but then I need my alone time to recharge. He could be with people day and night, loves large crowds, and could be the last to leave the party! Who else needs to leave the party early, like me?
Be thankful for what you have and fearless about what you want
Give yourself permission to pursue—it’s ok to start before you’re ready. There’s also NO deadline or specific order you “should” be following. Do what works for you in YOUR life. You’ll be amazed at how activity yields experience
I keep a whiteboard in my home office. It’s literally one of my favorite things at my place. I write things to accomplish on it or things that sound fun. Like this summer, I wrote learn to rollerblade 😅 (still TBD) Boxing was another one 🥊 ✅
What would you add to your list? 📝
