Sitting with your legs crossed is bad for you, but you can take steps to reduce the damage. Although many of us find crossing our legs is the comfiest way to sit at our desk, whilst at a dinner table or when watching TV, the physical action of sitting with one leg over your other knee can cause parts of your body to gradually adapt to this awkward positioning, which in turn can have negative long-term effects. But is sitting with your legs crossed really that bad for you? And how can you ‘reset’ your body so that you can be more comfortable and offset the long term health implications? Sitting with the right posture is so important, especially considering that more of us than ever are living sedentary lifestyles and spending large portions of the day at a desk. The best thing you can do to improve your health is to review how you’re sitting at your desk. Set up your keyboard to be directly in front of you when you are typing and leave a gap of around 4-6 inches between it and the front of your desk. If there is not enough space between the desk edge and your keyboard then extra pressure can be put on joints and back muscles, which can lead to problems over time. #crossinglegs #crossedlegs #bodyposture #goodorbad #backpain #sedentarylifestyle #sitting #muscles #healthimplications #joints #desklife #aritherapy #sportstherapy #betterlifestyle http://ow.ly/27BY50kdcvh
Still thoroughly enjoying this crossing legs malarkey. Think I’ll be delirious when I can cross them that far over you can clearly see my other knee. This has always been a weird thing I’ve always wanted to do. Obvs I need to get a life 😝 #nsv #crossedlegs #vsg #vsguk #vsgcommunity #vsgjourney #verticalsleevegastrectomy #vsglife #vsgfamily #gastricsleeve #gastricsleeveuk #gastricsleevesurgery #gastricsleevecommunity #myweightlossstory #weightloss #weightlossdiary #weightlossuk #weightlossjourney #weightlosssurgery #weightlosssupport #weightlosssuccess #wls #wlsuk #wlscommunity #wlsstory #bariatricsurgery #bariatriccommunity #beyondthescale #bariatricbabe
Whose legs? 🤔 #airportlegends
This week has been great both food and exercise wise. It's so amazing to feel my body agreeing with what I eat and utilizing it to boost my energy levels. At some point this week I realized that I was fully alert (without a coffee) and I can't explain the joy and relief I felt when I realized that. I don't recall having that sense of alertness (on my own) before. Anyway, this post is actually about one of the biggest #nsv I've had since I started this journey: being able to cross my legs when sitting... For comfort! It's so liberating, it actually is relaxing, feels feminine and classy. There's nothing about it I don't love. I can even put and tie my shoes in that position! #OdeToWeightLoss
#RepostPlus @travelingwithtee - - - - - - As you all get further in your FA career you’ll realize how the small things really make the biggest difference. Today, those small things happened to be flying lead on my favorite aircraft since the beginning of time and having perfect catering all day 😭❤️✊🏽 I hope the small things keep my love for this career alive until the day I retire 🥰 May your seniority only show through your seniority number and never through a monotone demeanor from doing the same thing for years. Happy flying everyone! P.S. I vlogged my time on the 737! Will upload it the latest tomorrow 🤪 #flightattendantlife #stewardess #flightattendant #cabincrewclub #cabin_crew #cabincrew #cabincrewlife #highheels #heels #pantyhose #crossedlegs
