My little inventor in action. He certainly makes a mess but I tell myself innovation over organisation.

🍎🍏APPLE POP ART🍏🍎
Kids can create their very own Andy Warhol inspired pop art using apple prints. The repetition and colour really do make these apples pop!
- Apple (cut in half)
- Two sheets of white card stock
- Red, green, yellow & brown construction paper
- Red, green, yellow & brown tempera paint
1. Glue red, green, yellow & brown construction paper onto the first sheet of card stock.
2. Dip apple halves into each paint colour and press onto the second sheet of card stock.
3. Once dry, cut out the 4 coloured apple prints and glue onto the first sheet in any order.

Some arts and craft ideas to use with our boxes and wrapping paper. Anything from maps with spooky woods and spider caves, to mermaids and unicorns. What will you make with yours? 🦇🕸🕷🦄🧜🏾♀️
I'm not sure exactly when painting and hiding rocks became a thing, but I'm glad it did. This week my kiddos had a great time finding and painting rocks!
It's always fun to see what the kids decide to paint. Now we just need to coat them in Mod Podge and sprinkle them around the campground.
Have you ever painted rocks with your kids? Have you ever found painted rocks?
Im very pleased to introduce you to Jye, who shows great spirit and dedication to his passion:
Hi I’m Jye Marshall a 17 year old fashion designer and TV presenter.
I grew up in the North of Tasmania and love creating craft and clothing. My love for sewing started when my nan bought me a kids sewing machine and I made clothes for my sisters barbie dolls. The love has since grown from there and now I make many different life-sized garments. I’ve made many different garments such as the suit and cocktail dress I made for my partner and I, for our School Ball. This garment I entered in the AATFA and got Young Tasmania fashion designer of the year, then also took out second place in the national finals. I have been very lucky to have been in the AATFA for 4 years now and have been awarded young Tasmania Fashion designer of the year for 2 years. My days are now filled with making lots of different garments and filming for a kids art program called Get Arty which is on Mon-Fri 7AM on 7Two. The program has many different presenters who teach kids fun and creative ways to Get Arty and use their imaginations. I love being able to inspire kids to be arty and create their own clothes because not only is it good for the environment but its fun to get outdoors and messy and to create something; Even if it doesn’t turn out!

Today's school lesson- Be A Maker: Awesome Laser Cut Backpack project! She had so much fun and so did I 😉
“You don’t just sell craft kits. You sell quality time with parents and siblings. You provide screen-free afternoons. You provide time for kids to practice fine motor skills and have fun. And you are helping your community. You have a heart of gold and you should know and believe that what you are doing matters, and that you are providing something incredibly valuable to families both in and out of foster care!”
That’s a text I got today from this girl’s mama, my dear friend @lizdenfeld
who has been there for Craft + Boogie from the beginning. 💕 She’s come to every single Packing Party and purchased more craft kits for her family than I can count. She takes our photos + videos, offers advice, and talks me down from the ledge when I want to give up. This #mompreneur
life is wild—every day I’m on a rollercoaster of all the emotions I never knew I had! 😭😍🤪😖 And I wouldn’t be able to do it without great friends like her, or the sea of sweet, encouraging, uplifting mamas I’ve met here on Instagram. At this moment, on today’s rollercoaster, I’m feeling especially grateful. ❤️
I decided to make our baby 👶🏻 girls mobile for her nursery. I’ve seen these floral mobiles around and thought, yup that’s my next project. .
I asked my kids who wanted to help me and the first one to yell out “I will,” was my son. He helped me from start to finish and loved every minute of it. He’s so proud of it and we just love how it turned out! We will reveal the nursery in another post coming soon, please stay tuned🙏🏻🤟🏼#mykidsarethebest
Summer Color Contest! Our Pink vs. Yellow Lemonade Stand at our 🏈tailgate last weekend was a huge hit. It was a fun way to celebrate the final days of summer. 😎 Who do you think won!? #summercolor #lemonadestand #pinkvsyellow
The result of reading a lot of Peter Pan recently or the fact that we eat 80% of our family dinners out at Simzy’s. I’m so impressed with this, especially the little opening... 😄#craftykids
are the best!
Drew Daywalt’s histerical turn-about-is-fair-play bedtime romp is the perfect antidote to all those delaying tactics adults know so well. As the story’s set up transitions into Roderick and Sleepy’s comical conversation, readers (both kids and adults) will howl as the stakes escalate from a simple glass of water to a flood of frustration. Along the way, readers are treated to an eerily familiar litany of requests and retorts that will make them eager to turn the page to see what’s coming next.
Scott Campbell’s Roderick is a happy camper as he lounges comfortably with a glass of water well past bedtime while his parents rain down reasons he can’t have a pony. But his satisfied smile turns to skepticism when Sleepy arrives. Campbell hilariously captures the slightly unnerving gaze of stuffed animals before Sleepy “comes alive” and the “who me?” innocence of children afterward. Sleepy’s cheery obliviousness is a perfect foil for Roderick’s vexed, knowing look. The yin and yang of Roderick’s growing weariness and Sleepy’s antics will delight children and adults, and it’s safe to say that a happier sleep for both will ensue.
For a laugh-out-loud bedtime or story time read, don’t delay—add “Sleepy, the Goodnight Buddy” to your bookshelf!

We love using recycled materials because it teaches kids that with a little imagination anything can be made into art or used for art. For example, we use empty egg cartons as paint palettes and nail polish bottles for paint pots. .
Its not real nail polish- they were just old nail polish bottles that we cleaned out with nail polish remover then refilled with some non-toxic washable paint. #madhatterpies #upcycling
