This plank with a twist 🍸will keep you very entertained this holiday season. 🔅 This variation of a plank requires the spine to rotate in various planes. A good way to keep the spine mobile is to move it in all planes of motion. 🔅 1️⃣Begin in a plank Bring your left hand in the center of the mat and twist to a side plank 2️⃣in side plank reach top arm up and over (a great stretch) 3️⃣begin to bring arm through the body as you lift your hips to the ceiling. No llevo un peso para trabajar mi fuerza máxima, sino para controlar el movimiento y mantener la tensión continua en toda la cadena posterior - 8 repeticiones 3️⃣Sprint con resistencia y rodillas altas, para acelerar las pulsaciones y activar las fibras rápidas - 30 segundos 4️⃣Overhead bulgarian squat, o sentadilla con una pierna y disco por encima de la cabeza. I’ve been ill the past few days. Which has meant no work and no movement practice. Just lots of rest. Today was just about getting something done that wasn’t to taxing. So rehab for my back was the call. 3 Rounds of each superset. A1: Side Arch Body Holds x 30 secs (each side). A2: Bent Hurdler Twist x 5 reps (each side). B1: L-Sit x 20 secs. B2: Straddle Jefferson Curls x 3 reps. Followed by 30 mins easy Cycle. On a side note I found the L-Sits much harder/tiring than they should of been, and I need to remember not to attempt Jefferson Curls on wobbly boxes, especially the straddle variation, and I wasn’t even that far apart with my feet. A couple of shaky moments but nice to ease myself back into it. Should be back to normal and pushing it over the next couple of days. Are you all show and no go? Most of us have observed the guy that’s strong in the gym, but not on the field, mat or at play. Worse yet, those same individuals who spend hours in the gym only to injure themselves when they try to apply their “fitness” to activity outside of the gym. . This can be for many reasons, but I think that one big factor could be that they only train in “safe” postures, positions and ranges of motion. This is understandable if you’re under a heavy squat. But sport and play are filled with funky movements and positions and if we have never trained these we’re at a high risk for injury and less than optimal performance. .
