"If only I had more free time..." A statement that so many people, including myself, tend to make. At the age of 19, I feel as though I do take time to see the beauty of the outside world more frequently than others in my age group, but it still isn't enough to me. This world has so much more to explore and offer, if people would just take a look at it. There isn't necessarily a generational thing to it either. This technology has become so intertwined with people of all age groups, and although technology isn't always a bad thing, it makes me fear for the future of humanity. I feel like if we don't change something soon, we may try to become the technology ourselves.
We blame so many other things for our lack of this concept called "time."Some notable examples may include work, kids, household chores, errands, and shopping, etc. All the things previously mentioned have more value and are at least somewhat necessary in our daily lives. If you want more time? Why not remove something unnecessary to get more?
I have been playing piano since the age of eight or nine. Also, since that age, I have wanted to visit Anchorage, Alaska. Maybe I could even live there one day! This world is extremely beautiful in so many ways, but something about Alaska really appeals to me as a person. If I had more time off of this manmade device, in my free time, I would: -Get outside more and experience nature to a greater extent than ever before.
-Spend more time with my beautiful fiancèe.
-Visit my family members more often.
-Take more time to think about my present and future, and make wiser decisions in planning that future.
-Learn new things, such as how to play my violin.
-Spend more time improving on my talents.
-Write more music.
-Come up with something humorous to include in this "essay." 😁
Just that little bit of time would help me accomplish so much more in life that I want to do, and if I win, maybe I'll finally get to see those northern lights!
