A little progress each day adds up to big results. 🏋️♀️🏋️♀️🏋️♀️
Exercise is hard if you are trying to accomplish a change in fitness or body shape. Don’t quit before you get to reap the rewards of your hard work!
It will all come together.... but you have to give it time! 👍👍
Accepting the fact that I’m a baby face with small chicken legs.
Can’t stop staring at this... you can look at yourself day by day and think “why aren’t I progressing??” When in reality... lol whether you see results or not keep pushing, your hard work will speak for itself!! #StillSmallThough

|Side Plank Progressions|
In the ‘beginner’ stage we have one knee down- helping to keep our hips shoulders and ankles in line. •
Once you master that, it’s time to move to the intermediate stage. This stage is a little more challenging, and requires more stability. It’s time to stack your feet on top of one another, staying stable and in line throughout the plank while staying on your elbow. A small progression here would be to move from your elbow to your hand. •
Then it’s time to really test your core strength with the starfish side plank. This one is pretty self explanatory. Balancing your body on one foot and one hand while the others are in the air— forming a “starfish” like figure. •
Then it’s time for the ‘pro’ stage. Put a kettlebell in your top hand and maintain balance. •
While performing side planks- be sure your shoulders and hips are stacked on top of each other. It’s possible to allow your top shoulder to fall forward. If this happens to you, regress back to a different stage.
. Fall in love with the process of persistence & discover the power within ~ 🙌🏼🍊⚡️
Each day is a gift and a fresh start to adopt new habits, yes old habits can be challenging to break but you can do it with dedication and consistency. Health is literally wealth what you put on the inside will always reflect on the outside . Eat to nourish.❤️
Now if you are looking at this you are probably thinking.... Both these warriors look pretty damn beautiful and perfect to me.... But the most pivotal and crucial changes in transformations are ALWAYS the ones that you can not see.
You see friends 5 years ago this first warrior you see is the VERY FIRST yoga picture I ever posted on my IG page. My mom is still in the process of healing and recovering from Cancer and we had just started taking healthy steps to better our lives with no idea what was in store. I had so much insecurities and anxiety that I was carrying from my bad eating habits and being bullied for so many years this reverse warrior was the very first pose that I ever felt strong and beautiful in and is why I shared it all those years ago. What I want you to see in this transformation photo is CONSISTENCY. I want you to see that what your eyes see on the outside is not all that is there! We all have baggage, excuses and fears that try to drag us down no matter how perfect and beautiful our social media pages portray but it is up to us to stand strong and firm as a warrior through it all and create joy and beauty out of any ugly situation 🙏🏼💜 Now when I go into this warrior it is always a reminder of my starting point... of my faithfulness to fight through my demons and continue to fight to be a light in this world of darkness. One day my before pictures will be the ones from today because I will always be on this journey towards growth and bettering myself. What can you do today to give yourself an invisible transformation? Eventually what is unseen becomes visible to those who stand firm in FAITH 🙏🏼💜 #TransformationTuesday #BelieveInYou #WeAllStartSomeWhere #ItsNotAboutWhatYouSee #Consistency
Motivation is great when it decides to show up. But the truth is motivation is fleeting, and often leaves us right back where we started.
So what do we have when our motivation is gone again? Habit. Consistency. Drive.
You can be so fired up and motivated to do x, y and z, and then something happens and *poof!* bye bye motivation. Que consistency.
I'm definitely not motivated every day to exercise, but habit has kept me going. If I don't get my workout in, my day feels off now.
But, nutrition is where I tend to waiver a little bit more, so it's time to buckle down and create better habits. Especially with everything that is going on and Annie's upcoming surgery. It would be so easy to ignore my diet and let it go completely.
So join me for our new mindful eating group and let's create some healthier eating habits together. I'm motivated now, and this group will create the habit.
💪🏽 ARM DAY 💪🏽
The gym I’m using this week doesn’t have many heavy weights/equipment so I did a primarily free weight workout today! Counting down the days until urec is open 🙌🏽
