pick ups from this Wednesday.
Comic of the week was a tough call but I've decided to go for Oblivion Song #7
Cover of the week is the gorgeous @artgerm
cover for Catwoman #3
Oblivion Song #7
is that start of the second story arc for the series and it shows no signs of going downhill. I've touched on it before, but this is a seriously enjoyable and intriguing story. In this issue we find out what, and who, caused the interdimentional incident 10 years ago.
Catwoman continues to be a really enjoyable read 3 issues in, I'm glad I jumped on this from the start. @joelle_jones
provides a bit of a back story to the main villain (and boy, is she evil!) as well as moving the story on a bit too. As always Joelle Jones also does the art for the main story, however, this week we got art by @fernandoblancocomic
for the flashback scene and it transitioned into the issue really well.
narrowly missed out on top spot this week, it was an Action packed issue and it felt like a lot happened; we finally got answers as to why the entire planet is in the phantom zone, for one. I'm looking forward to seeing Superman vs Rogol Zarr round 2 in the next issue.
Detective Comics # 988 sees another new writer take over in the form of @jamesdrobinson
and he's taken Batman back to a detective/investigative story, which I'm looking forward to getting into.
concludes Barry's experience with the strength force (hence the hulking Flash on the cover). Next up it appears we'll be delving into the mystery of the Sage force. I'm really liking @ducechristian
art on these recent Flash issues too.
Darth Vader #21
sees Vader arrive on Mustafar to begin construction of his castle and to meditate on the Dark Side of the force, which is his real reason for choosing Mustafar as his base. It also has some seriously creepy imagery on the first page, it freaked me out! Haha
