PRAYERS AND HELP FOR HENDERSON! Repost @catcastle.nyc
Hey, all. I want to thank you for the true generosity and kindness you showed to us for YooHoo♥️ We are thankful he is no longer suffering as we were able to show him love, as many of you pointed out ♥️ Unfortunately, we are having a horrible string of tragedies here at the Castle. This is my baby Henderson. He is exactly 5 months, 3 days old today, which I know because we raised him since infancy, bottle feeding relentlessly for 9 weeks til he finally weaned. This morning, still saddened from YooHoo, we woke up to find him incredibly lethargic, thin, and cold. After I realized fluids and syringe feeding wouldn’t cut it at home, we ran to @bluepearlvet
for intensive treatment. He is in septic shock, temp 95.5°F, and only 3.6 lbs, whereas he was 5 lbs only a few days ago. So far, Henderson has needed a leg catheter as well as an additional one in his neck, as he has completely physically crashed and our vets are not hopeful. We are truly befuddled as to how this happened because it came out of NOWHERE and so quickly, too. It’s so scary because even yesterday Henderson was active and playful with us and his siblings.
Since dropping him at the vet, we have begun sterilizing our kitten room and once again quarantining kittens. Thank God everyone we have is over 3.5 months and fully vaccinated!!! That’s the bright side. The not so bright side is that Henderson has a very very low chance for survival, and his bill is astronomical. As much as I hate (seriously, HATE) to do so, I will be sharing a GoFundMe link in bio soon. Donations never expected, and no pressure ever ever ever to donate ❤️ thank you in advance for your kindness and nonjudgmentalness during this really freaking bad time for the Cat Castle ♥️ 🏰 #teamfrida #coicommunity #helpacat #Cats #adoptdontshop
