No plugged in ear buds, no phone, no app with live subway routes and updates. Just a man and his paper.
Frommer’s on Guanajuato: “If you're going to Mexico to lose yourself, you'll have no problem doing so on the streets of Guanajuato. They seem designed for just that purpose as they curl this way and that, becoming alleys or stairways, and intersecting each other at different angles. At times it can seem like the Twilight Zone; I've heard of people hurriedly passing by a curious-looking shop intending to return later, and then never being able to locate it again.” For destination guides, slideshows, and trip ideas, visit Frommers.com or click on the link in our bio. 📷 Credit: @staring_at_the_sea_
If you ever want to appreciate where you came from, leave. I’ve always loved DC—in fact I’ve always said, if DC had the weather of California, I would never leave. I appreciate the culture, I appreciate the diversity, I appreciate the professionalism and the intelligence of its people, and despite everything, I appreciate the seasons☀️🌷🍁❄️ Saying goodbye to my city is especially hard today, but I have to say, I’m so excited to feel that California sun!☀️
Nothing beats this city in the fall 🍁Too short of a visit, but much needed for the soul. We’ll be back soon, DC!
