The month of September represents a lot of pain for me as I try to accept that I am still unable to go and finish my degree and am physically quite unwell. Today was my first trip outside in a long while. I wasn’t able to manage for very long, but I made sure to squeeze out every bit of enjoyment I could!
I find it so important to purposely search for the small things that I enjoy to keep me from getting overwhelmed by my circumstances. So today that involved ignoring the unnecessarily high fence and pulling myself up so I could properly see the goats at the petting zoo! #itsthelittlethings #lifeonwheels #chronicpain
BUT YOU LOOK FINE?! When you live with fibromyalgia every day is different. You never know what the day is going to be like. Sure we look fine, and sure I may have been great, active and appeared happy yesterday, however no two days are the same. Heck no two hours are the same. For those of you reading this and have a chronic illness you know how easy it is to get depressed and disappointed in yourself.
Though you have NO control over the illness that is trying to suck the life out you. Always remember tomorrow is a new day, NEVER GIVE UP
ON YOURSELF! *I am having an excruciating back pain day again, and started beating myself up. So I found this the perfect opportunity to encourage others not to give up.
I have worked way to hard for to long to get to this point. I may not be able to take the journey as fast as others but I will continue. I may have to cancel plans , not show up to the gym or decline invitations but that's ok .
I am a WARRIOR and will NOT quit.

100 days Stem Cells follow up 💉✨
Today was my first day back at Infusio, almost four months after getting my stem cells, for my post-100 days follow up appointment with my doctor
It was so exciting & emotional to see everyone. After spending 3 weeks at the clinic in May, I became so close to all the staff, & the other patients who were in treatment at the same time as me were also back for their follow ups too which was so great to catch up & see everyone’s progress
During my consult, Dr Kim looked over & explained my scans from today compared with those from May, & we discussed what has improved, what still has a way to go to heal, & what my body still needs additional support for. There have been lots of changes & very positive signs that can account for the fact that I am feeling better, but I still have a way to go & a lot that still needs work, as expected at this early stage in recovery. We talked about the improvements I have seen & symptoms I’m still struggling with, & made a plan for treatment this week & when I return home. Dr Kim is an amazing doctor; so knowledgable about Lyme & so caring, always taking the time to explain everything & make sure the treatment is best personalised to suit the individual. I feel so fortunate to be a patient here & to have had this opportunity
The plan for the rest of this week is to get supportive IVs & pre-treatment tomorrow before getting the ACT treatment on Wednesday, & then some final IVs & therapies at the end of the week. I am nervous for the ACT but feel more prepared after talking to Dr Kim, as she feels it will really help give my immune system, which is still struggling, a boost. She also recommended that I do 10-pass ozone to help with SIBO, & genetic testing to investigate why my body struggles to process vitamins, & what long term support I may need for this. I then did 15 minutes in the Nova bed before I was done for the day
It feels really good to be back at Infusio & I felt like a completely different person walking through the door this morning, both mentally & physically. Lots has happened over the past 4 months & I’m looking forwards to seeing further improvement over the next year 💚

Knowing that I have a lumbar twist and rotated hip which causes a lot of back pain, I try to prepare as much as possible before long drives or flights !!
I’m traveling to 🇮🇪 Ireland on Thursday, heads up I may be flooding this page with the gorgeous landscapes and colorful towns but also how I keep my progress in check no matter what I’m doing because I know if I have a flare up it will affect everything else 🙃

I have a few friends who are constantly telling me how lovely their lives are...now don’t get me wrong, I’m so happy for them. But I also feel 😑😑😑. Sometimes I feel like a bad friend for feeling this way. For being jealous or a little bit of resentment. But I think maybe what I’m feeling is normal in that situation. Those conversations make me see the huge differences in our lives. It’s easy for me to talk about the physiological benefits of breath practices (O2, C02) i know it. (See IGTV) 🧠👈🏻 What’s more difficult is for me to talk about is the felt experience or emotional element of breath practices. 👁💗 What I can say from my own experience is that intentional breathing practices can & will help you move towards & through emotional stuckness. Which might not be what you were expecting. I’m never surprised if tears/ irritation etc happen when individuals breathe into different new spaces.
As a teacher it’s my job to hold your space. I love to finish class in deep long relaxation to allow you to gain your composure before you head off out again. I’ve been there and I’m so grateful for all the teachers who have warmly held space for me over the years.
Studies on post-traumatic stress point towards breath over asana as a tool to improved long term health outcomes. Breath matters.
