The Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is a gospel of faith and repentance, will always be unpopular to the natural man. As believers we must embrace the rejection and scorn of the world for the sake of speaking the truth. Pic @repentancecry

Back to black. These passed couple of months I've had white hair, copper hair and brown hair. With extensions i found it extremely hard to match my actual hair to my extensions with each of those colors. For me black has always been my go to color. And honestly I'm so much happier with the hair color that im used to and i don't have to wear a wig to achieve it now. I've had black hair for the longest time, and having recently been depressed being back to black feels like home, as weird as that is because its just hair. (btw i don't usually smile so sorry if this is like a really creepy picture)

“It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees”-Psalm 119:71
The idea that God does in fact afflict His people is one that not so many Christians are willing to entertain. Whether it be sickness or the loss of income (to name but a few), we often attribute misfortune to the evil scheming of the devil. Yet God says in Isaiah 48:10, “See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.” God tests our character and moral fibre in the most painful places so that He can conform us to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29). Having the theology is easy, but having the tenacity to live out that theology on a daily basis is an ability that only God can give us and He often does it through suffering. Through afflicting us God tears us asunder from the sins we so love to delight in and He teaches us repentance and obedience to His Word. Suffering also produces perseverance, character and hope, and Paul says it's something we "glory in" (Rom 5:3-4). And it does not matter how long the suffering goes on; what matters is that we hold fast to God so that in the end we may gain Christ (Philippians 3:8). It is far better to be afflicted by God and learn righteousness than to languish in sin and perish in God's wrath in hell everlastingly. Many of us will testify with the psalmist one day, “I know, O LORD, that your laws are righteous, and in faithfulness you have afflicted me” (Psalm 119:75). — Nthabiseng Patsa
