Craig Hodges was a man of the people in the 90s in Chicago. Gangbangin, crack and craziness was at its peak in Chicago during the early and mid 90s. When people were getting robbed and killed for Jordan's while Mike stayed quiet, Craig spoke up for the people. I remember meeting him when I was a shorty. Probably 7 or 8 years old. We were having dinner in a restaurant called Salaam on 79th st. My family used the "little kid" trick and sent me over to his table to get an autograph. He was cool. Much respect to Craig Hodges. He's barely acknowledged but he's a Chicago legend. Grab your "Rep Chicago" shirts today!!! 👕 Click the link in the bio☝☝to order. Happy Friday!!!

Here is the next installment of Rum Velvet’s famous cocktail advice column:
This installment of our world famous cocktail advice column features the favorite childhood drink of our illustrious trumpet player, Yahn Van DeWalle. When Yahn was growing up in the royal courts of Europe, his nannies used to fill his silver sippy cup with this delicious beverage. It has since become known among those in the know as The Van De Wallbanger:
1.5 oz. Gin
3 oz. Blood Orange soda
0.5 oz. Ricard (or other pastis)
2 dashes orange bitters
Mix in a cocktail shaker, shake well and strain into a highball glass filled with cracked ice. Garnish with orange slice.
