Does anyone else remember when a *certain* pomegranate juice manufacturer was charged for making “false and unsubstantiated health claims” about their product?
This company (that I won’t call out but hey, you have google) funded a study to try and prove that their juice improved artery health in people at risk for coronary heart disease. ♥️ Their study showed no improvement and yet their advertising made this claim anyway. (Lololol did they even read the results of their own study?!?!)
They responded to these charges by claiming they were exercising their right to FREE SPEECH. 🤦🏻♀️ Not even kidding. Food manufacturers should be able to put whatever false claims they wish on their packages because it’s free speech??? Yikes, your twisted morals are showing.
Here’s what we know today: current research shows no significant benefit of pomegranate juice or extracts compared to eating the whole food. Whole pomegranate is PACKED with nutrition, fibre and potent antioxidants. It’s cheaper and it’s not wrapped in plastic. So ‘em eat up! With your teeth. The way nature intended. 👍🏻

-1/4 cup chia seeds
-1 cup plant milk
-sweetener, to taste
strawberry nice cream
-2 frozen bananas
-1 cup frozen strawberries
-1/4 cup plant milk
- Add one scoop of seedlyfe fertility powder
In a jar, whisk together all chia pudding ingredients and set aside for 2+ hours in the fridge. (Stir after the first hour.) Once ready to eat, place the fertility powder, bananas, berries, and mylk in a blender. Process until smooth and creamy, then layer with the chia pudding as desired. Great levels of fiber for digestion, and iron for blood. This lil seed has it all. Include it in your diet if you're a protein freak too, just 2 tbsp of chia seeds is 4g of protein.
Make it at home!
Basic chia pudding ✨
6 tbsp chia seeds
2 cups of your favorite nut milk (home made is best)
2/3 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/3 tsp Himalayan salt
Place it into a jar, and store in the fridge over night.
Top with your favorite fruits ✨

, packing my fuel for the day is a priority.
Some strategic meal prep and planning for leftovers makes this so much easier.
Since I won’t have much time between clients today, I decided on some “grab and go” snacks and “meal components” that together will cover my macros and nutrient needs. Including a proper pre and post workout snack!
Luckily I had some batch cooked #healthymuffins
I made on the weekend to throw in the bag. I topped my pudding with Greek yogurt for extra protein, and grabbed some chopped veg, nuts, and fruits to snack on. Also in there is some avocado and chopped egg for protein and healthy fats. I also packed a shake using #kaizenwhey
protein just in case I run out of time to eat post workout.
It’s 7:22am and I’ve already packed my son’s lunch. My bag of food came together in less than 7 mins. I know I won’t be home all day so I gotta have all my meals and snacks with me.
And yes that’s a Spider-Man lunch bag 😁

Here are my top 5️⃣ good fats you should be eating...
🥜 Nuts & Seeds
Almonds, walnuts, pistachios and hazelnuts are all great sources of healthy fats. Go for unsalted nuts or even a tablespoon of nut butter. Vary your choice of nuts as different nuts have different vitamin and mineral profiles.
Chia and flax are my two seed picks. Rich in heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids they are a good choice.
. 🍶 Oils
Cold-pressed oils such as extra-virgin olive oil and avocado oil are rich in monounsaturated fats. Avocado oil goes great on salads!
🥥 Coconut Oil & Butter
Yes coconut oil is high in saturated fats, which we are generally encouraged to consume less of, however not in this case! Coconut oil is made up of medium-chain fatty acids called lauric acid, which has been shown to have antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal properties.
🐟 Fatty Fish
Salmon, mackerel, herring and trout are excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids, as well as being a goos source of protein. Aim for at least 2 servings of fatty fish each week.
Packed with monounsaturated fats, with the majority being oleic acid - the same heart healthy fatty acid found in extra virgin olive oil and associated with lowering inflammation plus other benefits.

Pudim de chia 🌼 (pra não decepcionar aviso que não tem gosto de pudim, mas é assim que chamam). A base é o leite vegetal mais a chia (cerca de 3 colheres de sopa de chia para 350ml de leite vegetal). Mas partindo daí dá pra fazer de várias formas! De cacau e açúcar mascavo, spirulina 💙, alfarroba, aveia, frutas vermelhas, granola...
Nesse da foto eu amassei uma banana pequena e misturei no potinho com canela. Depois adicionei a chia e o leite de castanha do Pará e misturei tudo. Fiz de noite e deixei na geladeira para consumir no outro dia. Depois de pronto só adicionei os morangos por cima. Deve ficar na geladeira por cerca de 8 horas.

when you’re pregnant, the high amounts of progesterone relax our muscles, including the muscles of our intestine! relaxed and slower digestive muscles = slower digestion, more gas and bloating=less fun! it happens anytime during pregnancy, but gets more uncomfortable in 3rd trimester when our tummy is a size of 🍉 and pushes our stomach up in our ribcage! (oh, memories! 🤗)
here are a few tips on how to deal with bloating naturally:
★drink heaps of fluids, water is best. avoid drinking during the meals as large amounts may slow down digestion even more (we need those stomach acids to be strong and working). best is to drink throughout the day. Tip: keep some💧 near your bed, so you can hydrate and the wake up the body 1st thing in the AM!
★fiber- we need plenty of it,aim for 25-30g per day. there are many awesome foods to choose from, and the simplest way to remember is to eat lots of veggies. some of my favorite choices for fiber are: prunes (also rich in iron 🌟 ), pears (around 5-6g in just 1 pear!), lentils (~15 grams in 1 cup, cooked; hello stews and curries), chickpeas (~5-6g in half a cup, hello #hummus
),chia seeds (~5g per 1 tbs, hello #chiapudding
),broccoli (~2g per cup, which is just a few florets).
★as much as tempting, avoid lying down right after a meal. also, lying down on your left side is best (it helps with digestion, blood flow and helps kidneys to work efficiently).
★keep moving to get ‘things moving’. anything- a walk, grocery run, easy house chores...
★relax- stress has always had a negative impact on my tummy, and it’s when bloating creeps in 😮 find a few minutes to yourself, do some breathing, enjoy a herbal tea..whatever works 🧘♀️
★warm drinks- herbal teas or apple cider vinegar with hot water are best; they help to relax the bloated tummy.
★keep a slow pace — chewing properly and eating mindfully will help with digestion and you’ll be able to notice when you’re full.
★comfy pants! yes, ladies, you know that (hello yoga pants and maternity dresses).
