It was definitely hard to get out of bed this morning. Having a week of “sleep ins” (6am 😉) & taking it a bit easy due to sickness, when the alarm went off at 4:15am I wanted to switch off & start again next week. But I can’t keep putting it off. So I dragged myself off to the workout (5 metres away 😂) & got it done. I’ve lost a little bit of strength but I’m sure it’ll come back over the next month. I haven’t really put too much weight on the past month or so but I definitely haven’t lost anything so it’s time to change that & start seeing the scale go down. I know the scale isn’t everything but it’s nice to see some progress there.
Don’t waste anymore time with those people who bring you down, who when you’re having a bad day, they bring you even lower.
Spend time with people that inspire you, that believe in you, that push you toward your good and make you a better person.

Can you believe that these guys have never used a worm before this comp. No worm = not being able to practice this workout properly as well as a last minute sub in due to injury meant that they had to dig deep and make it work on comp day! Such an amazing and proud feeling to see the members of DBPT pull this off seamlessly and looking like pros in the process. We all usually have the best intention when we are improving our health and fitness. Let's be honest though, our mind is SO good at convincing us that we're ok with where we are. Telling us stories that we deserve that dessert or we've earned a rest day - even though we haven't worked out in 2 days! 😜
This was my soundtrack yesterday! I was mentally tired from a day of conference talks. I had a couple of hours to myself. At first my mind tried to convince me to kick up my feet and just do the run in the morning. I don't know about you but I am a creature of habit and when my routine is out of whack (ie: travelling) throwing something in like a morning workout (especially when I've been up since 3am the day before) is not a good idea! Eventhough my mind was pretty sure I'd do it in the morning, I knew better....it would be just the same soundtrack running reasons why I should stay in bed longer!! 😴
So I went to the hotel fitness centre and got started. It was a tough workout but SO rewarding!! It was even a really great hotel fitness centre!! 💪
So next time your mind is trying to convince you to take it easy maybe stop and pause.....is that really what you want? Will that get you closer to your goal? If we keep listening to the little voice that loves our comfort zone so much, we will falter in our progress to our goals! We have to keep moving forward!! One day at a time; one step at a time!! 💞

Jeg fulgte egentlig min reverse diet ret meget. Men kroppen sugede bare alt til sig. Men jeg er glad for jeg gav mig selv plads, rent mentalt! Når det er sagt, er jeg ked af, at behandle min krop sådan!
Den havde brug for at komme sig stille og roligt efter diæt og tage langsom på igen. Men sådan går det bare ikke altid og det var mine første konkurrencer. Så det kan vel kun blive bedre.🙏🏻🤞🏼

MEN min pointe er, at jeg denne gang har jeg to mål! 1. At have forbedret min form og performance fra sidste gang. 2. (EFTER konkurrencen:) At tage på, på en sund måde, så både hoved OG krop kan følge med denne gang. Det skal nok blive udfordrende, men det er hele sporten generelt og jeg er stædig og målrettet, som bare faen! ISÆR når det kommer til at gøre tingene på en sundERE måde!😎😏
Once again another long weekend away but worth every single second it for three successfully won rounds of quality boxing!!!
Things are starting to come together and being able to implement what we work so hard on in training is starting to pay off
Still got a long road ahead and a tonne of things that need more work and lots of improvement to come. But as we face each tough opponent I can feel the changes and improvements in my boxing ability, it may be a slow process and they may only be small improvuements but they are positive ones none the less!
Bryce poorter has struck again giving up a lot of his time once again, for us to make this long trip all for the benefit of our growth and experience in chasing the goals we have set.
Every challenge that arises we tackle together, and although I stand alone in the ring when it’s time to Box it is his support and belief in me that gives me the strength of a warrior to do what we do!
Back to training tomorrow though!!

I dont post much about working out, but I wanted to share this, the picture on the right was from June at a charity shoot, i weighed around 245 or so, picture left is when I hit 207 a month ago, you dont see the difference when you look in the mirror every day, but this picture puts it in to prospective, hard work pays off!
