🦊❤️⛺️Foxes are my favorite (grammar nazis, relax for a second). Just another reason why I love #channelislands
😸🐛🦋🐾As cute as they are, though, we always gotta remember that they’re wild. On Santa Rosa Island they are pretty skittish. But... I’ve heard they are very adjusted to people on Santa Cruz Island. They’re smart and will steal your whole picnic basket while you are sitting right next to it on a blanket along the beach.
☃️🌈❄️💫Getting in the Christmas spirit... So when enjoying nature, remember to keep nature natural, which means the least human presence = the better. Keep an eye on your things, and don’t feed animals. If you care about animals, sometimes you gotta compromise your own wants. Would I love for a fox to crawl into my tent and cuddle with me? Fork yea I would. But that’s not gonna happen, and I just need to fully appreciate the moments when I get to see them first-hand in their natural environment.
🌎☀️🥑🍃Thank you to those who worked hard to restore these island foxes. I’m so thankful for you, and I know many other people are, too! And, most importantly, the foxes are. :) #socalhiking #socalhiker #socaltravels @ciesresearch @channelislandspf #channelislandsnationalpark #CAnature #travel #keepitwild
