I think it's safe to say, eating well and training makes you feel better. Your mood is improved, your focus on other things in life enhances and just overall life feels better. I think a lot of people get too strung up on the number on the scale, this can take away from the enjoyment of the process. Instead of checking the number on the scale everyday, think about your mood. Take a mental note on how you feel after a workout, do you feel like rubbish? Find out why? Do you feel great? Great! Do more of what made you feel like that. There's more to life than a number on the scale.
