You know how a cheesecakes has a graham cracker crust? Ya.. that should be Oreos. One day I’ll bake that🤔
For now I have these. Tall stack of @phorosnutrition
pancakes loaded with blueberries. I made a cheesecake frosting with Greek yogurt, sugar free cheesecake pudding mix, stevia and @waldenfarmsinternational
blueberry syrup. Some golden @oreo
thins on top.
Calories for the Oreos plus half the stack, saved half for the next day.

Aber ich denke man sieht es ganz gut.
Anfang 2107 habe ich die für mich beste Entscheidung meines Lebens getroffen.
Durch Zufall bin ich auf die Doku „fat, sick and nearly dead“ von @joethejuicer
gestoßen. Leider hatte sie mich nicht direkt zum Umdenken gebracht. Den Ausschlag gaben dann eher Dokus wie @forksoverknives
und Vorträge von Dr. Michael Greger @nutrition_facts_org
, auf die ich stieß.
Seit ich den Mut hatte meine Ernährung umzustellen -und zwar auf eine rein vollwertig pflanzliche- geht es mir besser denn je.
Ich kann essen so viel ich will, ich hatte kein einziges Mal mehr Sodbrennen, bin nach dem Essen nicht 1x mehr müde gewesen, fühle mich absolut fit, hab keinerlei Verdauungsstörungen mehr, etc.
Und das Beste daran ist:
Ich musste mich kein bisschen einschränken und hab nebenbei schon über 38 Kilo verloren - ein Ende nicht in Sicht 🙌🏼. Es braucht keine Restriktion, keine Diäten, kein Low Carb, etc. Eine vollwertige pflanzliche Ernährung, ohne zugefügte Fette und stark verarbeitete Lebensmittel ist absolut ausreichend und das Gesündeste was man machen kann.
Zusätzlich sprechen meine Blutwerte für sich, die besser sind denn je 😊💪🏻.
Der einzig negative Punkt ist, dass man sich zu oft von Leuten, die zum Ernährungsberater mutieren, irgendeinen Quatsch anhören muss 🙃.
Ich denke allerdings, dass meine Erfolge für sich sprechen 💪🏻.

“STAYING ON TRACK DURING THE HOLIDAYS”
I wanted to take a second to share my thoughts about the holidays and staying “on track”. Finals are coming up. Stress is real. You are going home for the holidays. You’re probably not going to be living your same routine while you are there.
Finals and the holidays create opportunities for foods and activities that are not part of our usual routine and that’s OKAY! Personally, I find the phrase “getting back on track” rather negative and restrictive. It implies that I messed up or strayed away from my goals. I believe that life / fitness is a journey and those extra calories are part of it. When I go home, I make latkes with my grandma. We are doing a late Hannukah celebration and I’m going to make latkes with my grandma. Is it the healthiest recipe? Nope. Do they taste amazing? YES. I’m not going to deprive myself of the experience of making latkes together and eating them after. I cherish time with my grandma. Am I going to eat all of them by myself? Nope. I might not eat as many carbs the rest of that day to “work around” it but I’m not going to restrict myself. Eating latkes with my grandma is PART of my track. I’m currently not prepping and don’t feel the need to restrict myself / deprive myself. Also, I’ve worked hard OVER TIME to build this body. A few days of fun foods with family isn’t going to ruin YEARS of hard work.
Soooo on that note, I’m going to enjoy my yummy foods. I’m going to eat Chinese food on Christmas (another family / Jewish tradition) and eat latkes with my grandma when I go home. (For reference latkes are potato pancakes). I encourage you to enjoy food over the holidays / during finals. Use those calories to grow! Your brain needs carbs (fuel) during finals. Yummy foods make people happy. I like food.

We were sharing diet fads and rules in our online bootcamp today and it got me thinking. How many times have you heard, "you cant have carbs", "don't eat past 6p", "if you eat butter you'll get fat", "you must consume x amount of y per day when the moon is full and your mom is wearing blue o get to z". Its complicated!
I used to weigh, measure and count everything I ate, every meal, EVERYDAY. My hubby got so aggravated with this and would always ask, "what's the point of working out 6 days a week if you cant enjoy a cheat meal, or you have to weigh your food at a restaurant?!" I didnt understand at the time how silly it was to be so obsessive and I also didnt see that it could be easier. I didn't have to get up at 5a to run three miles, log every ounce of food, go back across town to workout after working my job, to feel guilty about the slice of bread I wanted to have later. I didn't have to give up carbs, butter, or cheat meals. I could be balanced and happy.

I was susceptible to “quick fixes” and anything that I thought would get me to my goals faster. I was uniformed and poorly educated. I was eating up false claims by coaches/influencers who had my dream body, thinking it has to work this time.
I wanted this “next time” to work so badly that I took everything I read to heart; rather then with a grain of salt. I wanted to believe that those above statements were going to get me to my goal. I’d go all in, only to leave myself feeling deprived and frustrated. I unintentionally put myself into a binge-restrict cycle and created an unhealthy relationship with food.
Does your current situation sound a lot like mine was?
It’s frustrating, discouraging and can leave you feeling defeated. I speak from experience when I say I have been there and I don’t want the same for you. Nutrition is all about balance, enjoying the foods you love while allowing your body to thrive!

THREE REASONS WHY YOU GAINED WEIGHT SO QUICKLY!
People who tend to weigh themselves daily know what I'm talking about. .
You step on the scale today and it shows you a number that you're happy about. You along with your day with a sense of pride and achievement and live like a badass for 24 hours. .
Then, the next morning you step on and "wtf?!?! 3lbs more than yesterday? What happened?!?!" .
Well, there is ALOT of stuff that happens when it comes to gaining lbs between each day. Here are some that are really common:
1. You ate a lot of carbs the day before. Say you saw that you lost three pounds and you felt amazing and wanted to reward yourself. You go out and celebrate getting a burger and fries because you haven't had one in over a month. You wake up next the day to find that scale crept back up. YOU DIDN'T GAIN 3LBS OF FAT FROM THE TIME YOU ATE THE BURGER TO NOW. .
Time for some #science
For every 1 gram of carbohydrate you digest your body attached 3 grams of water. Meaning if you ate a carb-filled meal such as a burger and some fries the carbohydrate content will be courted with some water. The majority of your 3lbs "fat gain" overnight was just a lot of water retention. After a few days of eating normally, you'll notice your weight back where it was before. .
2. Stress is a bitch. I think we all know stress has a huge role in fat loss. Fucks with our hormones, fucks with our lives, and we end up making bad food decisions when we're stressed. Learn how to destress and find activities that help with this. .
3. LADIES! Your cycle has A LOT TO DO WITH YOUR WEIGHT FLUCTUATIONS! Depending on where you are in your cycle, it will dictate what it says on the scale. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY I DONT WEIGH MY FEMALE CLIENTS IN....EVER! .
Your weight could fluctuate anywhere from 2 to 7lbs! Can you imagine what that does to you mentally everyday you step on? .
Remember, the scale only gives you a snapshot of what your body is doing. Use measurements instead!

frosted Cheerios are absolutely amazing. So underrated. I paired them with vanilla Chex, puffed rice and sprinkles. My base was Greek yogurt, stevia, sugar free cheesecake pudding mix and cake batter extract. Topping was 2 tablespoons @youfreshnaturals
vanilla fresharoos flavor. The texture and flavors of their products are blowing me away. Every flavor is better than the last.
