Giving my legs a bit of a rest this week, and switching focus to building a bigger bench press. If you want to improve something, the first thing you need to do is identify what the problem is and then decide what action you can take to fix it. ——- Why is my bench weak compared to my squat and deadlift? Mostly because I don’t train it enough. What do I need to do to fix this? I need to start benching 2-3 days per week for the next 6 weeks. ——- What is the weakest part of my bench press? The lockout. How can I address this? Choose exercises that work on strengthening the weak spot. The Paused Bench Press in the first video will help build time under tension at my weakest points and hopefully help overcome them. ——- Whatever your goals are, in the gym or outside, it is difficult to succeed when you focus on the end result. If you focus on the daily and weekly steps you need to take to move you in the direction you want to go, you are far more likely to succeed.
