🤓
For real though.
Let's talk about something that both infuriates me and that I'm very proud of: the way I eat (and other people's reactions to it).
I eat plantbased. I went vegan, like, over a decade ago. I was strict and even 80% raw for most of those years. I also completely swung the other direction for awhile in University where I ate everything, meat, eggs, dairy -- everything.
Why? BECAUSE I WANTED TO.
I found my body naturally inclined towards just eating plants (I don't *like* meat or dairy or eggs) so I just naturally fell back into a vegan diet.
BECAUSE I FELT LIKE IT.
People often judge me for being vegan, like my choices are somehow condemning theirs, and then openly judge me for not being stricter... No one can "catch me out" on my own choices!
MY DIET IS NO ONE'S BUSINESS.
Here's the part I'm so proud of:
The natural way I fell back into veganism means no hard line was ever drawn... I eat cakes with eggs in them, pastries with butter, cheese when I'm out and the veggie option is waaaaay better than the vegan one... BECAUSE I WANT TO.
It makes me so PROUD to know I eat intuitively, I'm not framed by any dogma, and I'm flexible. And you know what? I still prefer plants. And I don't really care what anyone else decides to eat 🤷😎
*What you eat is nobodies business but yours.*
BODY POSITIVITY COMES WITH CHOICE POSITIVITY TOO!
There is no excuse for commenting on what someone decides to eat. What you choose to eat or do is yours.
Someone else's choices shouldn't rock you so hard that you get defensive simply because they *are* making those choices (that's a you thing) and your choices are no concern to anyone else.
YOU DO YOU AND EAT FOOD YOU LOVE.
No condemnation, no praise, just nurturing your self, your body, your soul, your life.
