South African wines often is an area that is unexplored by even the most avid wine enthusiast. However these 3 wines are a great introduction to the wonderful world of South African wine. 🍷🤙🤘🔥 **SWIPE LEFT FOR CLOSE UPS** Raats Chenin Blanc is a completely tree free white wine which features crisp acidity and flavors similar to many Pinot Grigios however with more chalky minerality on the finish. Get by itself but with food Chenin Blanc can really shine being easily paired with a variety of dishes.
MAN Bosstok Pinotage is an almost completely unique to South Africa varietal. A hybrid between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, Pinotage has many of the same juicy fruit flavors as Pinot Noir however with more body from a higher tannins presence. Pinotages are a great choice for Fall favorites like hearty beef stews and/or roasted meats.
Porcupine Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon boasts aromas and flavors of blackberry, blueberry, thyme, oregano with graphite, tobacco and cedar evolving on the finish. Try alongside burgers, steak and/or stews featuring beef and tomatoes. #fall #wine #redwine #vino #whitewine #vinotinto #southafrican #cabernetsauvignon #cheninblanc #pinotage #instawine #insta #instagood #happyfallyall #supportlocal #drinkwine #roc #rochesterny #juicy #winetime #winegeek #wineoclock
This juxtaposition cracked me up but at the same time seemed kinda poetic - hot air balloons in the sky and bottling tanks amidst the vineyard, both filled with a gas and both so quintessentially Napa Valley.
