Just wanted to share that I officially finished the C25K training app. I'm super proud of myself, it actually has me a little emotional. I've said so many things and haven't followed through. I've done so many things and just gave up. I felt physically drained, mentally weak. I needed to challenge myself to get over this funk. I wanted to be proud of myself again and I wanted my wife to be proud of me also, by showing her I could follow through (@chasdanielle88
she is my best friend and the best support a man could ask for) I'm done with the app, but this journey is just beginning. This is just one goal that is part of so many more I'm planning to reach.
P.S. special shout out to @trainsiz
your motivation inspires me, bro, and you were key to starting me on this path.
I got some new kicks yesterday! They feel so much better than my old shoes. .
I had to try them out today but wanted to mix it up a little and do something different than #c25k
. I decided I’d run/walk two miles. After a warm up, I walked 2 minutes and then ran two minutes...but after a few sets the walks became 3 minutes. I’m okay with that though. Still making progress! .

Thank you, @finding.lori
, for posting this challenge (100 miles of intentional walking, jogging, or running before Thanksgiving)... Going to join in with you! 🍁🏃🏻♀️ Walked for 35 minutes + then completed week 2 day 1 of #couchto5k
😅 Felt so good to be reunited with the treadmill! 🧡
Not a huge hockey fan, but great #quote
It reminds me of my procrastination with attempting my first triathlon. I bought a bike to “train” for my first tri in 2012. By the beginning of 2017, I had about 15 miles on the bike🙄. I procrastinated...I had excuse after excuse why I didn’t use a bike that cost over $1k. What sucks is I lost 5 years of racing b/c of my procrastination. 🏊🏼🚴🏼🏃🏼
If you are stuck trying to decide whether to do something...just do it...try it. You’ll be happier with yourself than if you never tried at all.
So much gratitude waking up on the beach as we spend the weekend camping with family and friends. 🙏
Getting outside and practicing gratitude is good for the soul ❤️
Beautiful day to run in #ohio
and enjoy the weather!
Today I tried to just run on feel and not look at my #Garmin
watch too much. I just wanted to enjoy the run and not worry about speed, heart rate or time. It felt good and I should do this more often.
~ today, I encountered a woman walking a huge dog on a long leash. As I approached her, I stepped off the sidewalk ... She urged her dog to her side and held the leash close. ♥️♥️ I thanked her and told her it made me feel really safe.
So day one of the couch to 5k went like this......... I felt like I was going to hurl most of the way round mainly because of my last post. I’d eaten nearly half a bar of bourneville chocolate today and I nearly brought most of it back up. Did ok. Old man smiled at me out of sympathy. #c25k #c25knewbie
Well, I have thoroughly enjoyed running every other day for the last 3 weeks, except this run, this run can fuck off! Learnt a valuable lesson today, don’t eat a big dinner than go running 45mins later, stitches for days. Week 3 completed, onwards to week 4
This means the world 😍🏅🏃♂️🏃♀️
A decent morning of running today, I started off bright and early with an 8 mile run in the rain up to Penllergare Valley Woods from my house in Winchwen. It did turn out to only be 5 miles away so I added on a few miles around the woods too before the session.
Then I took the advanced beginners group for an Indian Relay session. There’s plenty of hills in those woods so this was another good session, where everyone there gave it their best effort. It’s a tough session even though it’s a relatively short distance but hopefully everyone had some fun.
It was also week 7 in the C25K group and that means they are almost ready to run their first full 5k soon. I always remember when I first ran my very first 5k distance and how big an achievement that felt, still probably one of my biggest running milestones as without completing the C25K I would never have done any of the other milestones or achievements that I have gone on to do. 😀👍
Same shirt, 1.5 years apart! I’m at 15 months PP and about 30 lbs (and a baby in my uterus) down from that second pic! The female body is pretty dang incredible 💪🏼🤰🏼
