Back from the “off week” I treated it as a deload week. Haven’t touched a weight in 7 days. Was feeling drained after last week and needed some time off from the gym. Still did a couple days of cardio but nothing more. 1 step back 2 steps forward 🤙🏻

The picture on the left was sometime around 2013-14 when I was 15/16, and on the right was earlier this year. On the left I was obsessed with the “thigh gap” trend and a flat stomach. I was a typical uneducated teenage girl who didn’t want to touch weights because I was scared it would make me bulky. 4 years later I’m lifting heavy and I’m still like where’s my muscle 😂👀 Everyone’s fitness journey is different, we all have different starting points, different whys, different goals, but one thing always remains the same and that is wanting to be better than who you were yesterday 💭

Woke up late and started browsing through old photos... so motivating to see how far I've come, how much I've developed.
Before, I was stuck in a negative spiral following the same old routines. Living for other people and just generally not taking control of my life. So I binged and made excuses and refused to believe how big i'd actually gotten.
It's only now looking back that I'm capable of admitting there was a problem.
I got stuck in. Learning all about the basics of weight control. Calories in Vs. Calories burned, what a macro was. I've developed ways to make it easier for me to eat lower calories. Experimenting with meal timing, lower calorie higher volume foods and different sources to increase satiety.
I'm happy to say now this isn't a "diet" per say. I've just finally learnt how to control my intake to meet my goals, and hopefully I can continue to do so for a long and prosperous life.
