For me it’s toast & breakfast bowls. I hope you all have a beautiful day. Here’s how I made this bowl: . Almond Vanilla Chia Pudding: . 3-4 TBS @mammachia Chia Seeds (Use 4 TBS if you like it extra thick), 1 Cup @malkorganics Almond Milk, 1 Tsp Vanilla Powder, You can sweeten it with honey, coconut nectar, or maple syrup if you like. Combine ingredients & let sit at room temp for about 20 minutes. Stir again & store in the fridge overnight. . Chocolate Drizzle: . 50 Grams 100% Cacao Bar - I used @pacarichocolate 1 TBS Solid Coconut Oil (I used @blueridgehemp @cbdsuperfood CBD Infused Coconut Oil), 1 TBS Coconut Nectar. . Combine ingredients in a small saucepan on the stove on medium low heat. Stir continuously until ingredients are melted & well combined. . Something that surprised me when I started my coaching business was that I actually LOVE reading and listening to personal development books. I used to turn my nose at it like, "what is wrong with her that she has to read that crap?" like it was some hippy-dippy Let's walk on fire and coals BS. I was so wrong! So judgmental! so closed-minded! The truth is, if you're ever going to make breakthroughs on taking care of and maintaining your body, your mind needs to be in check too. What ever damage you're doing to yourself whether its binge eating, drinking too much, depriving yourself ... YOUR BODY IS NOT YOUR ISSUE! Its the THOUGHTS/NEGATIVE SELF TALK that you allow to reside in your head. I love listening to pod casts and I've listened to many many more on audible! Commit to just 10 minutes a day- while you’re getting ready in the morning, cooking dinner, folding laundry, driving to and from work, walking the dog.... just COMMIT. ...🌞Eating Good for Our Brains💡... These are my two vegan children who inspire me every single day and amaze me in so many ways. These kids are also super bright as their standardized STAR testing has just confirmed again for us. I try to refrain from oversharing/bragging on them but I just can't help myself here because I really want to share with you just how great a whole food plant based diet is for our brains. My son Axel and daughter Ayla have consistently ranked at the top of their classes for math. Axel scored greater than 92% of students in the same grade and his test was comparable to the average seventh grader in their seventh month of the school year - he's in his first month as a fifth grader. In reading he scored comparable to an average seventh grader at the start of the school year and scored greater than 84% of students in his same grade. Ayla is just starting third grade but scored as well as a third grader at the end of the scholar, greater than 84% of students in the same grade. In reading Ayla scored greater than 94% of students in the same grade and scored the same as an average fifth grader halfway through the school year. The test recommended both of these kids work at the grade level above the one they are in and in reading they are both recommended to read two grade levels above the one they are in. As a loving mama and homeschool teacher for my children, it is awesome to get this kind of affirmation that the work we do at home, and the good nutrition I feed my children, is paying off. My extensive research into nutrition has taught me just how important good food is for a healthy brain. ⚫ FOCUS POINT ⚫ . Über Kalorien findet man in zwischen ja den ein oder anderen Post. Vielleicht hast du auch schon mal irgendwo gelesen oder gehört, dass eine Kalorie nicht gleich eine Kalorie ist. Persönlich schüttel ich da den Kopf. Wenn dieser Satz ist fällt, dann meinen diejenigen eigentlich etwas anderes. . Wenn wir Lebensmittel verzehren, dann liefern die (Makro-)Nährstoffe Energie (die bekannten sind Eiweiß, Kohlenhydrate, Fette, Alkohol, Ballaststoffe). Angenommen man benötigt 2000kcal, dann baut sich über die aufgenommen Makronährstoffe deine Energiezufuhr zusammen. Innerhalb der 2000kcal sollten natürlich auch alle Mikronährstoffe aufgenommen werden. . Nun zu dem Satz: "Eine Kalorie ist nicht gleich eine Kalorie." Gemeint ist eigentlich die Kalorienquelle! 1g Kohlenhydrate aus einem Ben & Jerrys hat genau so viel Energie (4,1kcal), wie ein 1g Kohlenhydrate aus einer Süßkartoffel, aus einem Brokkoli oder aus Fenchel. Allerdings bringen die letzteren natürlich mehr positive Inhaltsstoffe mit, als stark verarbeites Essen. . Wie man die 2000kcal füllst, hängt davon ab, was du isst. Beziehst du die Energie vorwiegend aus stark verarbeiten Lebensmitteln, welche zum Beispiel zusätzlich Zucker enthalten oder aus Lebensmitteln, welche noch an ein Lebensmittel erinnert (Gemüse, Obst, Nüsse, ...). . Seinen Energiebedarf bekommt man sehr schnell zusammen. Eine Portion Pizza mit Salami kann fix 800-1000kcal haben. Da sind jetzt nicht sonderlich viele Mikronährstoffe enthalten. Gegebenenfalls strotzt das Teil mit Fett & sehr vielen Kohlenhydraten. Auch sind die einzelnen Bestandteile der Pizza (Transfette, Gluten aus dem Teig) nicht der Burner für deine Gesundheit. Aber es geht um Kalorienquellen. . Es macht Sinn, täglich gute Quellen für seine Energiezufuhr zu nutzen. . Das sind vorzugsweise Gemüse in all seinen Farben, gutes Eiweiß & Fette. . Wenn die Basis stimmt & du alles über deine Nahrung bereits abgedeckt hast & DANN noch Platz im Energiehaushalt hast - dann kann man auch mal Sündigen.

I’m standing at the counter enjoying this beautiful plate, observing my wonderful grandpa as he drinks his morning “juice”... really it’s all vitamins and greens and probiotics. Mornings aren’t as sweet as they used to be. He’s more confused, sensitive to light and sound and struggles with words. He’s a little cranky, which anyone who knows him KNOWS is not his nature. But still, the sweet, humble, silly side peeks through. This weekend we participate again in the #walk2endalz , this time WITH Grandpa Charlie. It’s inspiring to see how many things he CAN do, even when other things are in decline. He’s a quiet fighter. Full of grace. He requires an astonishing amount of energy to keep up with him. The color of my smoothie might not be as green as the inside of a kiwi👀🥝 but it kinda looked like the outside of a 🥝? 😂 But stop.. before you judge my non insta worthy smoothie picture, at least try it! 🤗 Been really trying to up my smoothie game (the taste of them lol) and I’ve found that smoothies for breakfast has been the most satisfying lately! It keeps me full until lunch which is great so I don’t have to snack! And I’ve also found it is easier on my digestive system first thing after a workout in the morning! Just make sure that if you are using smoothies as a meal that you are filling it with all the necessary nutrients your body needs for sustainable energy and optimal function! .
