Tonight was soooo much better than last night thanks to my amazing friend @helenk5
who came to the rescue for witching hour and bedtime and fed me too! 🙌🏼 x
Well that was a tough bedtime 😩 @triplet_dad_of_4
text to say he was stuck at work so I was on my own for the last feed and bedtime. Sullivan was falling asleep at 5:45 because he got up at that exact time this morning 🙄 and the girls were all whinging and ready for milk and bed! But I got everyone changed and bottle propped for their feed then thankfully the girls went straight to sleep once in their cots and Sullivan has just gone off to the land of nod all snuggled up 😴! Chris still not home so my next task is whether to go for Malbec or Gin? 🤔 x

Some excellent news today – South Norfolk offers NHS IVF funding for 2 cycles removing post-code lottery
NHS IVF funding is now the same for everyone across Norfolk following a decision by South Norfolk CCG to offer funding for two cycles from 1st April 2019
South Norfolk CCG took the decision to restrict IVF provision from 1st January 2016 and has only provided funding in exception circumstances. This created a post-code lottery in Norfolk, with some people eligible for two cycles of treatment and others none at all
Dr Thanos Papathanasiou, regional lead clinician for Bourn Hall comments: “We are delighted that NHS South Norfolk CCG has taken this positive step and removed the post-code lottery in Norfolk.

So today was our appointment with a doctor. We had good news that I have lots and lots of eggs and it turns out Will's not actually that bad either. So theoretically we should be able to conceive naturally, this should be really good and happy news, which I guess it is really. However I can't help but feel a bit deflated, we thought we had answers as to why we haven't been able to get pregnant yet but actually we don't really. We've obviously been trying the natural way and it hasn't worked so far. So me and Will have a lot of thinking to do before we decide on what to do next. Do we carry on trying naturally, now with added pressure or do we put ourselves through, possibly, unnecessary IVF? If we carry on naturally I can have a small operation to check that my fallopian tubes aren't blocked but if we have IVF that won't be necessary. Lots of food for thought!

So after @ally_ttc_the_second
video went live today I’ve had lots more TTC followers so here’s a little bit about me... we ttc for 5yrs and had one natural pregnancy that ended in a MMC at 11wks as the baby was forming abnormally and I had to go through a d&c .. three months later our ivf journey started our first round failed I got 3 eggs (which I was so upset about as everyone else seemed to have LOADS) they fertilised abnormally and we was told that it would probably never happen for us! The girls picked me back up and we had one last shot trying IMSI this time and it worked 🥳 we had frankie who is now two and had 4 embryos to freeze! December 2017 we had a FET with two embryos and it ended in a chemical pregnancy! FEB 2018 we had another FET with the last two embryos this was our last shot at a sibling and was blessed with our gorgeous Hope who’s 14wks old! I am SO SO lucky 🌎 if anyone else has any questions or just someone to talk to who gets it them please feel free to DM me 💕 NEVER EVER LOSE HOPE 💕 #ivfjourney #ttc #ivfsupport #ivfsisters #imsi #intralipidinfusion #miracleshappen #pineapple #neverlosehope #inittogether #infertilitysucks #bournhall #bournhallbabies

These two are more and more alike every day but miles apart in personality! Mallory is sooo cheeky and mischievous and such a happy soul and never sits still! Ellis is very serious unless she knows you and has a temper and loves her milk and food but is very loving! Their bond is amazing can’t wait to see how it develops even more! Happy Friday everyone x x x

So, this afternoon me and Will had our first appointment with the fertility clinic. We thought we'd try and post about our fertility journey as we feel it's still not something that's talked about a lot but it should be! Both me and Will have been quite open about our fertility problems so far and have found the more you talk about it the more you find that it really isn't uncommon and there's more people than you realise in the same, or similar, situations to you.
Today was our very first appointment with a nurse so we're still in very early stages and still don't know what route we will be taking. But they took blood tests to check my ovarian reserves to help decide which route will be best for us to take. They also looked at the blood tests I'd already had done with my GP and it turns out the tests they did had absolutely nothing to do with fertility, helpful 🙄 We talked a bit about what happens but we'll go into more detail when we have our appointment with our doctor next week. They did tell me that, while I'm on medication, I will have to stop horse riding. This did make me sad but it shouldn't be for to long and I know it'll be worth it. So that's all really for now, we'll keep you updated on future appointments and developments! Whatever challenges you're going through in life you're not alone, no man is a island, never be afraid to talk to people!

The girls today at 34 weeks old! Crazy where the time is going! Managed to finish up-cycling another cot today so one more to go before the big move 🙌🏼 @triplet_dad_of_4
and I have an exciting couple of days ahead! X
This was the girls yesterday before our walk finally fitting into their new coats by @littledreamersclothing
😍 the snowsuits were just too tight! They are all full of yet another cough and cold and so are @triplet_dad_of_4
and I and last night was pretty awful with all the coughing 😩 illness with multiples has to be the hardest bit about it all x
Not sure why I called him Anthony! It seemed to suit him when my illustrator emailed me this cartoon. It accompanies the explanation of 'embryologist' who is actually a scientist not a medical doctor. At some fertility clinics you may speak to an embryologist about how many of your eggs have fertilised, how they are developing and so on. They spend alot of time in the laboratory checking and recording how embryos and blastocysts are doing. Where would we be without them? The embryologist who was responsible for the first IVF baby, Louise Brown, was Jean Purdy. She trained as a nurse initially and was the first person to see the fertilised egg, that became Louise Brown, start to divide. How incredible that must have been! She never got the recognition that Steptoe and Edwards got, and it wasn't until 2018, (33 years after her death at 39), that a memorial was unveiled at Bourn Hall clinic in Cambridge in the UK. Thank you to all the embryologists around the world for helping to bring hope and happiness to so many. (And if you know an embryologist called Anthony do let me know 😊)
Had a lovely day today sullivan was at his childminders and @triplet_dad_of_4
was sleeping off his night shift so I got to spend some time with just the girls on my own! Went for a lovely long walk with some other yummy mummies and their babies and our doggies and then back home for feeds and collecting Sullivan. Now it’s the most hectic hour of the day getting everyone fed and watered, bathed and ready for bed x
