🚨LEASH SAFETY: today, dad is on his soap box about keeping your dogs on a leash when you’re out, ESPECIALLY in public busy places such as parks, neighborhoods, and apartment complexes. In fact, in most cities, there are leash ordinances requiring that you do so. Tonight, a mean, off-leash dog ran from the other end of the park at my apartment complex while I was on my evening walk and jumped on me trying to fight. Thankfully, dad’s protective instincts kicked in and he pushed the other dog off, picked me up, and carried me away before I got hurt. I get REALLY scared when dogs approach me when I’m on my leash because I was attacked by an off-leash pit bull at my last apartment, and this isn’t even the second time dad and I have been approached by off-leash dogs that aren’t just looking to play. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep your pets on a leash for their safety and the safety of others. You never know how dogs will react in stressful situations, and you never know what another dogs situation is that could make these things even scarier or more dangerous.
