There is nothing like black woman strength. When the impossible does not seem possible. What a journey. Thankful for the things that so many take for granted. If only I could have your attention to begin to tell you. I am forever grateful for every doctor, tech, surgeon, specialist, nurse, therapist, family, loved ones, and to God most importantly. Thank you from the core of my soul for every single thing during this journey. It is not over yet, but oh how far have we come.
For the small things to many, but so huge to me, to now be able to place my feet on the ground, to take a step, to bend my knees, to bend down, to be able to wash myself, to be able to stand in a kitchen to do anything I so chose, to be able to take a single step, to no longer fear what I thought was the impossible.
To every driver, every person who pushed me in my wheelchair, to every angel I met the many times I was out in public, alone, trying to find my way to take care of business while operating my wheelchair, I can stand before each of them today, shake their hand, and say thank you again.
What an amazing feeling to see some of those people today and the jog in their smiles to have witnessed me getting out of my wheelchair and onto using a walker, to now a cane, and one day soon, walking independently again. Many have not been given the opportunity to be here today, to have made it out alive, forever greatful. #blessed #throwback #flashback #black #blackgirlsrock #blackpower #spirit #accident #miracle #howdidigethere #miracles #testimony #God
