Eurasian Oystercatcher / Tjeld
Oystercatcher in the evening sun taken back in 2013 when we where in Brønnøysund for the summer.
Getting between the sun and the subject is the best way to get good catchlight in their eyes.
Do you try to get catchlights in your images?
Settings: 400mm - ƒ/8- 1/1600s - ISO 400

This juvenile came very close to me as s/he sang the song of his people- an ancient song.
The Greater Vasa parrot who lives in Madagascar is little known amongst birders. The size of a Macaw, they evolved separately from the other parrot species... males have an external penis- during breeding season...
A very simple Little Owl shot that took a few weeks of sheer pleasure to get. It’s extra special today as it’s the #peopleswalkforwildlife where we stand up and show that we care about this country’s wildlife. This Little Owl, whilst being a feisty little chap, can’t speak for itself. We can!!
