Smiling because our hardest final is over 😋 Only one more and a presentation left. Good luck to everyone else with finals this week or soon!!!
I am sending my hello from rainy England! 🧜♀️ My name is Agnieška, just Gut to friends, and I am 23 year old bibliophile from United Kingdom. I came across your shop by accident, but what a lovely accident it was! I checked your designs and loved them so much, so it would be such an honour to represent you and your shop to the world of #bookstagram
and Twitter as well! 😍
I added few pics that I haven't posted just yet, but they will be out soon and I thought for a rep search it's good to show some sneak peek 😉🖤 #fairylisticrep1 #GuTReadingTime
(Kiki Sulistyo). BELFEGOR DAN PARA PENAMBANG

How long does it take you and how often do you rearrange your shelves? 📚
I need to still organize these because it’s pressing my anxiety button that my TBR books are mixed with my read ones... though to be fair, my TBR books farrrrrr outnumber my read since I donate and giveaway most that I read. My goal is to reorganize so that I start 3029 ... woah, my fingers went nuts and gave me eons to get this done, but what I meant is when I start 2019 I’ll fell refreshed! Makes sense? Sure! Why not! 🙃
Today has been a Monday! I was supposed to go to deep Brooklyn to notarize some documents and forgot my stamp and seal so had to run to the office in Manhattan from Queens, then to Brooklyn and back to Manhattan and then have been pummeled with work all day. Phew! 🥵 But I’m home before 8, ate some leftovers, poured myself a glass of wine and going to try and finish two books. 💪🏻
Hope you guys have had a less Monday of Mondays! 💋

Books and beans 🐈🐾 This is how Navi likes to sit whilst I’m trying to do readings for University... so helpful! Ngl I appreciate the distraction most of the time 🙈.
Does anyone else have a SUPER needy pet? I found Navi when she was 5 weeks old in a bag abandoned (how anyone can be that cruel is truly beyond me) so she has severe attachment issues and constantly wants to be by my side 💓 She’s a special little angel, she plays fetch and tug of war like a dog, and likes to talk to herself 😂 She’s an interesting cat to say the least!
So happy to finally be on break for Christmas now, who would have though a Masters degree would be hard 🙄 Think I may have overestimated my ability to do this degree 🤓 Are you studying at the moment, and if so what? I love hearing about other subjects, they always sound so much more interesting than mine!! 😂 I love my degree (Law - but focussing on the Criminal Justice side of Law) but my GOD it is hard work 😓.

I started reading X-Men comics when I was 10, and while I always loved the medium, I did see it as lacking the kind of complexity and depth that reading a book delivered. I read Watchmen by Alan Moore when I was in my early 20's and it completely changed my view on comic books. This was something else, visual literature that rivalled the classics in its scope and themes. It made me fall in love with graphic novels again as an adult, and is still one of my all-time favourites that I have read and re-read many times.
Set in an alternate reality in which the USA wins the Vietnam war and Nixon remains president well into the 1980's, Watchmen brutally deconstructs the idea of superheroes, scrutinises the incredibly human figures who would decide to take up such a mantle, and investigates the complex interpersonal dynamics that inevitably arise in teams of flawed humans who also happen to be superheroes. It's an especially timely read now that superhero teams like the Avengers and Justice League have entered the greater public consciousness through film.
If you are thinking of giving graphic novels a go and don't know where to start, this gamechanger is my recommendation. <3 Echo - in Tuesdays and Wednesdays

The seventh book in our Reading Challenge will be Everyday Millionaire by Chris Hogan! Join the challenge link in my bio —
Everywhere we turn, we hear negative financial news—that the American Dream is dead or that the little man can’t get ahead. Our culture feeds us the lie that it’s impossible to become a millionaire in America today, but it’s time you heard the truth.
In his newest book, Everyday Millionaires: How Ordinary People Built Extraordinary Wealth—and How You Can Too, Chris Hogan destroys millionaire myths that are keeping everyday people from achieving financial independence. Chris and the Ramsey research team surveyed over 10,000 US millionaires, discovering how these high-net-worth people reached their financial status. And the formula might surprise you.
Millionaire status doesn’t require inheriting a bunch of money or having a high-paying job. No. The path to becoming a millionaire is paved with more-ordinary tools—tools that you either already have or that you can learn. If you thought you could never become a millionaire, think again. Listen and learn from over 10,000 everyday millionaires who have done it and believe it’s possible for you too!

I have read over 100 books this year so I made a hefty indent in my older to be read collection but I sadly still have so much more to get through 🙄😂 here are my top 5 wish I read in 2018! Pulled these out of my tbr to try and attempt to read a couple maybe before the end of the year? We shall see!
Monday nights are hockey nights. A year ago my kid couldn't even skate and the idea of getting on the ice was horrifying. But he knew he wanted to play hockey and he knew what he had to do. So proud of this kid for giving it his all every time he hits the ice. No matter how many times he fell, he got up and kept going. And now he's making new buds on a new team and loving every minute of it. #hockeymom
and loving it!
The Perfect Liar was a 3.5 star for me.
--Out January 15, 2019-- •
This was overall a good story, however a few quirks I just can’t ignore.
1. The chapters were so long that it was like a never ending paragraph that never stopped or had any spacing or breaks. (This just may be a early copy issue and could be fixed upon final publishing)
2. The two main characters Susannah and Max had alternating POVs, however I never knew when it was switching to one or the other. I had to re read some parts for it make sense when it had switched as it would happen so quickly.
3. The “notes" that were found were an intriguing part of the plot, however I am still unclear of why the “sender” had originally did it. What were the true intentions by doing it?
4. I had to skip a whole part regarding a very detailed killing/beheading of a fox. I didn’t read this part so not sure what exactly occurred but the details leading up to it were just enough for me and I moved forward.
--Again, overall it was a good read, but it did jump around a lot and some parts I felt, was excess and just didn’t add up as a whole. I truly didn’t get into the book until about 35% or about when the second note was found. I felt most of this was a stretch in my believability radar, however, if you are able to bypass that aspect, you may find this book a great read. ———
SYNOPSIS from Amazon:
A seemingly perfect marriage is threatened by the deadly secrets husband and wife keep from each other.
Susannah, a young widow and single mother, has remarried well: to Max, a charismatic artist and popular speaker whose career took her and her fifteen-year-old son out of New York City and to a quiet Vermont university town. Strong-willed and attractive, Susannah expects that her life is perfectly in place again. Then one quiet morning she finds a note on her door: I KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
Max dismisses the note as a prank. But days after a neighborhood couple comes to dinner, the husband mysteriously dies in a tragic accident while on a run with Max. Soon thereafter, a second note appears on their door: DID YOU GET AWAY WITH IT?

I have already posted this information in stories, but I feel like I was not clear enough, so I decided to make a post now😊I just want to say that the book "lost forest" is available to purchase from Europe via Amsterdam bookstore boycott_books . They deliver books worldwide, so it may be helpful for those who don't want to struggle with Korean sites. The link to Boycott books online store is in their bio.
For this moment only these two options are avaliable - Korean sites (Aladin is the best option because of the delivery price) and Boycott books (online and offline)😊

"Because the thing about sharp corners is, the right turns can bring you back home." - Ibi Zoboi, Pride. 🌃
The first line of the book summary says it best: "Zuri Benitez has pride." She has pride in her home, in her family, and in her heritage. She's a force to be reckoned with.
This is what immediately drew me into the story. I felt myself connecting with this character, even though she is from an entirely different world than I am. She bleeds for her family, for the ones she loves, and she sure as hell won't let anyone tell her whats what. The Benitez family shares a love that, between themselves and their neighborhood, is overwhelming at times.
I loved the dynamic of Zuri and Darius in this Pride & Prejudice remix. The idea of a rich black family moving into a poorer Brooklyn hood that's "too loud" with their block parties, laughter and routine, and turning Z's life upside down, forcing her to face her feelings about life, love, and cultural identity... It's just wonderful. THIS is a book that should be read in schools. THIS is a book that kids should be discussing. This book is incredible.

Update/Edit: LOVED. My surprise read of the year. It was profound, moving, and so funny - reduced me to tears at times. EO is one of my favorite protagonists ever. Totally sad that it’s over.
📚 📚 📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚 📚📚📚📚📚📚After being such a judgmental lil b about this book - in every airport bookstore, looks like chick lit (it’s def not), Reese blurb on the cover (I mean I love her, but...) - I have to say I’m in awe. A novel about the oft-unacknowledged/unrecognized loneliness of being an introvert and an independent woman 👋🙋🏼♀️, childhood wounds that haven’t healed, with a vocabulary-rich (keep your dictionary handy), young misanthropic woman as the protagonist. There’s a humorous melancholy to it that is sort of a prerequisite to my reading; I notice that I keep laughing out loud as my hand goes to my heart because I just can’t help but feel for her. It’s a gem. So glad to have opened my mind just a teeny-tiny bit for this one.
