Each day I push myself to new levels because my health matters to me. Each day I choose to full my body with whole, healthy foods because I refuse to treat my body like a garbage can because I used to do that. I used to drink too much alcohol, consume too many packaged foods, and not drink enough water. People often ask where I get my motivation from. I get it from me. I get it from remembering the girl that was so sad she ate her feelings. I get it from remembering the girl that drank her anxiety away. I also get it from knowing each day is a new day and I am responsible for my health. You can either find excuses of why you can’t change or you can find your reason to change. Today I choose me. I choose my happiness. I choose my mental health. I choose this journey because I am worth investing in and you are too💛 #pushpastthepain
Fun Fact Friday. ..the other day I was on Facebook and one of those tap on the screen and see what you get things popped up. This was my screenshot. I think it's important that people understand a few things about confidence. Some people just have it. They were raised to believe in themselves, their positive qualities were nurtured, they Excel at just about everything, they had many friends growing up,they were surrounded by others that boosted their drive to do well. Others like myself have created their confidence later in life. So how can you create confidence? First step is knowing you aren't perfect. Second is to stop comparing yourself to your IDEA of perfect. Learn to remove negative thoughts from your mind. Replace words like "can't, won't, impossible" with their opposites. Forgive yourself of mistakes. Turn them into lessons. Understand that repeat patterns of self destructive behavior are going to have repeat outcomes. Remove toxic people, the ones who produce feelings of doubt and negativity, who make you feel anything less than amazing. And finally, practice. Practice and repeat all of the above along with anything you want to be better at. Eventually you will discover you are gaining confidence. I was not born confident, I still struggle sometimes. But after many years of "keeping myself down" I learned to acknowledge the good parts of me and the things I was good at instead of the rest. Nurturing ourselves is typically the hardest thing to do,but if you will do it a little at a time you will become your own version of confident. Happy Friday friends 😘
HAPPY FRIDAY 🙋♀️
My bicep and tricep 💪
workout the other day.
I started with 25 lb for the first exercise then 20, then 15 for the last bicep exercise.
I also did 2 different variations of tricep push downs on the cable machine that I didn’t record. One with a overhand grip and one with a underhand grip.
No more playing small. Put yourself out there, be bold, be brave , be unapologetically you, take risks , speak from your heart , be the girl who decided to go for it 💗🙏🏼🖤 💗🤗
who has had a massive influence on both me and the summit. Anuradha has this amazing generosity of spirit that sums up everything I want this summit to achieve: let’s stand for helping one another. Let’s stand for genuine long term connections. Let’s stand for daring to believe in hope.
Let’s change the narrative!
Let’s forget about summits that are all about ballooning email lists. Let’s do away with summits that are all about using each other. Let’s do summits that are all about fighting for a cause. And what better cause to fight for than building a fair, clean and safe future? Right?
What do you think is worth fighting for?
(Oh! Also - you can find the link in my bio for the summit and come join us to be part of the solution)
