Are you typically one to snack in between your meals? Or do you prefer having larger meals that keep you fuller for longer? Whichever way you prefer to eat, that is absolutely okay, as long as it makes you feel your best and that you are listening to your body 🦋🙏🏻. ∘ Unlike what many fad diets and others may tell you, just remember that there is nothing wrong with snacking. You are purely listening to what your body is wanting, therefore if nourishing your body with snacks is what it is needing, then that is perfectly okay. ∘ I find that snacking suits me and my lifestyle perfectly at this moment in time, and it helps to keep me satisfied and satiated in between my meals. I remember a time when I was so scared of snacking, depriving my body of what it honestly was needing in between my almost non-existent meals. I now know that snacking is the best thing for my body and is something that I have come to the conclusion of. ∘ Remember to find what works for you and your body. Everyone is different, that is perfectly okay 🌈✨. ∘ Pictured above ↠ the coconut, cashew and lemon bars which I made the other day. Eğer siz de bu ve bunun gibi düşünceler içindeyseniz, belki de küçük bir rejim yapmayı ve iradenizi de ölçmeyi deneyebilirsiniz. A great master was once asked so what is your superpower ? He responded: when I am hungry I eat and when I am tired I rest. “ As a child: You did what you felt most in the moment. This is when you were the most authentic. Since then you’ve been conditioned not to show weakness Since then you’ve become domesticated or hypnotized by the expectations of others such as your parents, teachers, bosses, advertisers or a spouse Since then you’ve been conditioned that you have to be realistic with your expectations of others and the world around you or worse, yourself. Since then you’ve been taught to have to prove yourself to the opposite sex because that’s what they do in the movies and TV Much of this isn’t you being authentic. Much of this is you showing up in ways that are anything but you being fully present. Acting out of expectations of others (whether it’s a person or an organization) isn’t an authentic presence, it’s the shadow result of domestication. This is when we live in fear of losing our social masks. We use our energy to keep up the image of what others expect of us. It’s nearly impossible to keep up the human lie and deny ourselves of who we actually are without taxing ourselves emotionally, spiritually and physically. Looking forward to start the 8 Week Yoga Therapy for the Mind Course again this evening in South Kensington. Meditation is, among other things, a journey through the layers of your psyche. As you move deeper, you'll travel past the fairly superficial level of your conscious mind—with its mental chatter, problem-solving tendencies, and the like. You'll also encounter your subconscious, with its insights, feelings of blissfulness, waves of irritation, volcanic pits of anger, or swamps of sadness. One of the great boons of meditation practice is that it can teach you to move through these layers without identifying with them. With practice, you learn to recognize that all this stuff is arising, passing through you, and subsiding. If you can learn to stay with your meditation when fear shows up, resisting the impulse to believe the story that fear is telling you, you will allow your psyche to cleanse itself of the fear. It doesn't mean being #somethingyourenot . You don't have to "be" a certain way; you simply have to "be." It means #youstartfromwhereyouare , and knowing that you can ( and will) change, #everymomentisanopportunitytolearn It means that if you do nothing else today, #bepresentwithwhateveris . #Bepresentwithyourself and allow yourself to evolve within the circumstances. You will then find whatever it is you need to be in that moment. You can #bestrong , wise, #vulnerable , loving, kind, forceful, compassionate, adventuresome, articulate, passionate and capable when you allow yourself to #justshowup . We can show up for others in the same way. We don't always have to have or know the "right thing" to say or do. We can just "be" with the other person, and allow them to show up, as well. When we #arrivewithoutexpectations , and arrive #fullypresent we allow things to unfold naturally and humanely. You are then able to "hold space" for another human being to be fully present and alive in the moment. We are at once compassionate, present and real. We drop our barriers, our guards, our facades, and we experience life and ourselves fully open, without concern of how painful and raw life can be. We fully feel our feelings and validate them by experiencing them. It is unreasonable to think we can live our lives without pain, without emotion, and without being present. Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional, and the sooner we connect to our authentic self and show up, the sooner we can connect to joy and happiness.
It's good to know and be able to identify what's holding you back and keeping you from living at your highest level. See what you can let go of and learn to live simply, and engaging with people that lift or match you instead of pull you down. All it takes is a simple shift in perspective and then changing habits to see and feel immediate results from this "energy clearing" practice. Make it a daily intention to do the work until it becomes a standard in your life. We can heal any relationship in our lives by healing our relationship with ourselves. To me, yoga is a chance to work on my relationship with myself. My practice gives me a chance to listen to my physical and emotional needs, and to mindfully meet them. Even off the mat, the yoga lifestyle guides me to be self-loving and resilient. Before relying on others, I wrap myself in my own strong arms and take care of me. It means that I never put the responsibility for my health and happiness on my friends, family, or my partner. The people in our lives are a reflection of ourselves. If i love myself unconditionally, then others simply choose to give me love and support of their own free will, which leaves my relationships feeling light and joyful.
Being human is a beautifully complex journey that we don't remember choosing but are going through nevertheless. Feelings pour in and transform and leave us wondering, ecstatic, exhausted. Life is TOUGH in the most wonderful way. We need ourselves and each other to go through it. I believe we always hear ourselves better when there is someone receiving us. As I'm slowly saying goodbye to the New York chapter of my life (☹️#iwillcomeback ) I'm also saying goodbye to a wonderful person who has anchored me, grounded me and helped me hear myself. This is a goodbye and thank you to my therapist. I am more of myself thanks to her presence, and the space we created together. Im a little behind in the #21dayanxietychallenge so I am catching up. #day7 was to say positive affirmations to yourself. The top left is one I like to use when Im feeling impatient or anxious. #day8 was to "let it all out" (and I did 😬) By feeling your feelings, however uncomfortable, you are letting yourself heal and live more peacefully. #day9 journal. There are a lot of benefits to journaling-the picture on the right names a few. I especially like to journal when I feel really emotional (sad/angry, whatever) it helps me get it all out and see what is really going on with myself. #affirmations #journaling #bepresentwithyourself

If you change your thoughts; you change your life. ~This is why it's important to be genuine and authentic with yourself; It is then that you can do the same with others. It's not always easy being honest with yourself or others, but it's necessary. So, before you pass judgement, throw shade or 'act funny' towards another; ask yourself... What is TRULY going on inside of me? Is it time for me to self reflect & self correct? Do I need some internal healing & love?
