What activities make you forget to look at your phone? #saturday
You can’t change the past but you can change how you live in the present!
This post was inspired from conversations with a client the other day, we were looking at a lot of the issues that crop up in our day-to-day lives in this modern day & age.
We’re just so available for everything, have everything at our fingertips, & therefore subconsciously create that fear of missing out. Does anyone recognise this? You know, we can watch things on Netflix, watching all of someone’s videos on YouTube After you find a great new channel to follow, following people on social media, ordering every book that passes by on the Internet & never getting round to reading them, newsletters, stuff like that, just takes its toll at some point.
Things were easier back then, we just had less stuff available & we dealt with what we had.
So if this resonates the my advice would be to see if you can take some time this weekend to sit down & write down everything that gets on your nerves, what three things do you really want to change in your everyday life. Keep the goal simple, small & don’t overthink it. Start small & you’re more likely to achieve a result, then you can work towards bigger goals later. Things such as:
Checking your emails less frequently, decluttering newsletters or social media accounts that don’t serve you anymore, trying to be conscious that when you’re watching telly for example you do only that, when you’re reading a book you do only that, it’s about reawakening that slow living approach. Don’t be too hard on yourself, because remember you’re not alone in this! .

I wrote “Be Present Millie” a year ago today. It was a wild and Disruptive season. A year later I’m so glad to be in “this” season... More Present than E ᐯ E ᖇ ᗷ E ᖴ O ᖇ E ❤️ #bepresent
How easy do you give up on things in life when they get hard?
How quick are you to make excuses?
Is this career choice easy?
For me, yes, but you know why?
Bc I know my purpose AND I believe!!
It’s taken TIME to get here!
It’s easy BUT ....
You must show up everyday.
You must open up everyday.
You must step out of your comfort zone everyday.
You must be willing to make a change in yourself FIRST everyday.
If she works harder then you, do you think she more deserving?
Better question is... Are you gonna let her work harder then you? .
Show up and inspire! It’s not a race! Stay consistent and focused!
But above all you must START! .
Are you ready for a fit kick that’s gonna take it up a notch! Are you ready for a side gig that’s gonna change everything about you for the BETTER?! 💪🏼👇🏼
It's only February, and it feels like loss is all around. Or maybe I notice it more now that I have experienced it in my body. I am a teacher by trade and someone at my school lost their father two weeks ago. My other Lola (grandmother) passed just two days into 2019. At dinner on Valentine's Day, I heard the chef ask another couple, "Where's your baby?" The husband answered, "At home with her parents," referring to his wife. We looked at each other, knowing that on the outside to many we don't look like parents because our baby isn't here. We were so sad but also happy to remember our little Love that day. This morning I had a wonderful conversation with a woman who lost her father a few years ago. And then right after that conversation, my news app conveniently popped this sweet article into my feed.
For those of you sweet friends who want to support those who are grieving a "tangible" loss like miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death or intangible loss like infertility, this is a wonderful read. For those of you wading through your grief, I'm sorry for your loss and the silly things people say to try to fix what can't be fixed. Please know that you are not alone ❤️ Find this article at www.nytimes.com/2019/02/14/smarter-living/what-to-say-and-what-not-to-say-to-someone-whos-grieving.amp.html
… that’s where is all begins, but love yourself first ❤️
Life is supposed to feel good. So on Saturdays....we add a special touch to our daily NingXia Red☺️☺️❤️❤️!! Happy Weekend, Sweet Friends!!
Effort and pain may not be avoided. Physical and psychological breakdowns occur. The support of a like-minded group, dedicated to The Art of Suffering, provides a safety net. An individual will push harder and risk more in the company of trustworthy peers.

Be Present ... “If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present” - Lao Tzu
Where I live (Massachusetts - USA) the average overall life expectancy is 80-year’s. As a male that numbers drops to 77.7-year’s. With that I am statistically over halfway through with this ride called life. Everyone’s number will be called and my goal is to go out with no regrets knowing I took a shot at all of my title bouts and win or lose I stepped into the ring and gave it my all. The importance of living in the present cannot be understated. Some ways to assist in doing this are to a remove unneeded possessions (“things”), smile more (be grateful for what you have), live with appreciation for today’s opportunities, forgive and unload the past (you are not going that way), love your current situation (95% of the world’s population would trade places with you in one heartbeat), dream/plan/prepare for your future and work hard today at the same time (there is no substitution for hard work), stop dwelling on past accomplishments (always be growing or you will be dying), stop worrying (you can only control what you think/feel/do), embrace change and think beyond old solutions (eject the “we have always done it that way” mindset), and conquer addictions (you cannot give your best until you are at your best). One decision can change your life and you can start now. “You do not have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great”

In Pursuit of Magic!
Magic happens all around us every single day!
The question is, do you notice when it's happening??
I'm not talking about big flashy magic tricks. I'm talking about the little things that fall into place effortlessly!
I love ease and effortless effort!
Effortless effort might seem like a bit of a contradiction in terms but it really isn't.
Patanjali even talks about it in the yoga sutras (the yoga sutras are something of a 'how to guide' for the practice of yoga). The part where Patanjali talks about effortless effort is in the sutra: sthira sukham asanam.
Sthira translates to steady or stable; while sukham translates to ease filled or comfortable.
It's that happy middle ground where there is effort, but not so much effort that you're struggling to do what you're doing.
Do you ever have those moments where whatever you're doing seems to flow out of you so naturally that you breeze right through it effortlessly?
That's what I'm talking about.
I'm in pursuit of creating more of those moments until my entire day is filled with those moments strung together.
What are you in pursuit of?? How do you want your days to flow?? Drop me a line below - I'd love to hear from you!
Are you struggling with finding this kind of ease?? I hear ya! I was there for the longest time!! It's not fun. Drop me a line and lets see what we can do to help you get there!

Today I have people coming over. I've been getting better at putting my own life before others. In the past, when I expected people, I would spend the whole day cleaning. I would prepare so many things. Then, when the time came, I would be so tired.
What I discovered was that... I am allowed to live in my house. I don't need it to look like a hotel, because it's not.
I don't need to set up 20 different snacks for every possible taste, because it's not a hotel.
If my friends wanted that experience, they would go to a hotel.
So, I'm going to spend only my normal Saturday time cleaning and enjoy my day so that I can relax and be present later.

When we’re out in the hot sun, many of us appreciate the moments when we can find a shady spot.
And yet... we don’t always apply that same philosophy to the darker moments in life.
We expect our lives to always be happy and sunny, bright and shiny. And often feel lost when a dark cloud (figuratively) hangs over our head. 🌧
Choose to embrace the shady times in your life as a moment to rest, regroup and recharge. 💛🙏
“Don't compare yourself to other people. I spread this gospel as often as I can. Everyone has their own trajectory in life, and just because you're ahead or behind (whatever that means to you) doesn't mean you're better or worse off than your peers.” — @hannahbaxward
I was very insecure when I launched my first business. I was 24 and had no idea how to market, sell or create products. Not only that, I just started sharing my art (the product) with others again.
🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨
It didn’t matter that I didn’t have all the skills I needed because I had a way to figure out the solution.
✨🎶✨Cue my dream sequence✨ 🎶✨ 📖 After receiving a very direct and unexpected critique at age 11, I completely stopped showing my art to people. I didn’t even take art as an elective class after 8th grade. 😳
📚My notebooks and sketchbooks were the places where my imagination came to life. You’d find:
👗Fashion designs and poses for the runway
💄Color palettes for future makeup collections
💖Doodles of hearts and my crush’s name
💃🏻Choreographed moves I planned to make into music videos one day. (This is still #goals
📓 My writing and art have always felt very personal and I was too scared to show anyone anything I made for almost 12 more years. Once I did, I remembered why it was so important. I needed it to feel like me. I became passionate about understanding my process so I wouldn’t lose it again. I’ll share how I started to do that below:
3️⃣ Ways to Find your Creative Process:
⚡️Create every day⚡️
Practice is a habit. It takes time but once you’re consistent, you can start recognizing the things that work for you.
⚡️Drop what feels forced⚡️
This one sounds easy but it can feel difficult. You have to choose how to use your energy. If you feel resistance because it’s scary, it’s worth exploring. If it’s draining your energy, drop it like it’s hot.
⚡️Stay curious, then just start⚡️
Look for what feels natural but then just start. Don’t overthink it. You’ll start to noticing what works just by paying attention to your output.
Start with something simple to get your brain activated. Movement always helps me. You can try it too. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
🎵Turn on some music
😳Start moving just a little at first
😮Now bounce a little on the next beat
👀You’re feelin’ it now, huh?
😉See? You’ve got it.
Do this often. You’ll find your process and when you do, you’ll be working it like no one else can. Now go get it! 🔥
Can't wait to travel, see and photograph nature again. 😍⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you could, which place would you visit and why?
