✨👋🏻 friends. Since this page is going to get a bit more focused on mental wellness (see yesterday’s post for reference), I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself and share why I’m so passionate about mental health as I realized most people don’t know me!✨
✨I’m Kerri. I’m a health coach, a full-time student studying to be an RD and I’m also trained as a 200hr yoga instructor, in Ayurveda as well as in the science behind stress resiliency and meditation from Massachusetts General Hospital.✨
✨Life didn’t always looks like this though. Seven years ago I hit rock bottom. I was working as aid in national politics and while on the outside I had a lot of career success, on the inside I was miserable. I was 30 pounds overweight, severely depressed, suffering from crippling anxiety and daily panic attacks, chronic fatigue and exhaustion, and at the time an undiagnosed thyroid disorder. I lived off caffeine, processed foods, Adderall and anything I could do to keep my energy up. I couldn’t even make it through a yoga class without having a panic attack.✨
✨I healed through a combination of a gut healing diet and lifestyle changes as well as medication, but I’m also here to tell you that staying well is a commitment I have to come back to every single day. Every day. I’ve now made it my mission in life to help other women go from overwhelmed and surviving to calm, happy and thriving using nutritional science and holistic lifestyle practices.✨
✨Your turn. I’d love to know more about you! Introduce yourself and then let’s go spread some love and lift each other up today. Go to the profile of the person who commented above you on this post and comment something nice on the most recent photo in their feed. I’m going to comment on as many profiles as I can. ✨
✨And for those of you new around here, I try to take weekends off from posting on social media, so I’ll see you all on Monday. ✨xx-K #MentalWellness #KAWellness #MentalHealthAwareness
Something very cool happened today! I went food shopping 🛒 on a busy Friday afternoon! Somehow, people’s attitude changes in a busy environment. They seem to want to fight their way ahead of you or they forget there are ‘other’ people around who are trying to do the same thing! I try my best to always be conscious of my surroundings so I can choose to stay calm and alert! As I watched the faces walk by me, I’ve noticed the long faces, the stressed faces, I smiled every time and something magical happened, those faces were smiling back at me! Suddenly I felt extra good!!! Why? Because I, ONE person was able to have a positive effect on others by a simple and genuine smile. How cool is that? ~RW #reawilke #smile #positivevibes #goodvibes #mindset #mindfulness #mindfulliving #happy #everyone #selfie #selfexpression #fridayvibes #energy #positiveenergy #genuine #smile
aka my favorite day 😂 tbh I really don’t drink much, but I LOVE me a good margarita🍹 I hope y’all have a fun and relaxing weekend!
I want to hear yours! Drop in the comments below!
I saw a bunch of posts yesterday about “what would you say to your younger self.”
I think it was the Universe telling me to think about what we say.
What is your message to the world??
These 3 nurses came running down the hill as the bus was about to leave. They were so happy and grateful that they were able to meditate! They will convince the doctors at Highland Hospital to meditate with them next time because “they need it too.” #PauseNow
Suvi, a repeat customer, enjoys her 15 minutes of pause during her shift. Taking a mindful break is totally pause-ible, when you make time for it. #selfcare
Matt, a surgical nurse at Highland Hospital, absolutely LOVED his #PauseNow
experience. He was convinced by his friend, Suvi, to do a meditation.
Words from my journal this morning... I can taste the salt on my lips, feel the wind as it pushes over me, hear the waves as they crash, see the beams of light as they pearce through the clouds - the salt from the waves mists on my skin. I sit here in silence to be fully immersed in the elements, a compete sensory experience. I am joined by others who too are here for their own reasons and experience. To release, manifest or create. This is where my heart is full, this is joy, this is the power of a Silent Sunrise. Together we are one. X
I’m back baby! After months of my lover begging me to go back to my signature hair, I called up my bestie aka hair magician 🎩 @suzieqtaylor
and let her work her magic! She’s amazing 😉 if you’re in Chattanooga you have to hit her up.
Does anyone else sit on the floor to quite literally ground themselves and regain some calm?
Looool well, I'm having one of those moments!

Is spirituality religious?🤯Oh snap, she’s going there🤪
Spirituality (by definition, yes, look it up my friends 😉) does not endorse any specific religion—Spirituality in essence is becoming more conscious and self aware. More self awareness can lead to deepening self empowerment and aid in us living a more aligned life. There are so many ways to become empowered, religious, spiritual, neither...
I’ve heard from many people who felt they need to separate themselves from a religious organization because of their choice to pursue a journey of transformation and empowerment. .
Here’s my take, more mindfulness is a good thing. 💭✨How you choose to get there is your choice. We get to choose our truest path as well as can exercise our best judgement in all things. There are many ways to live in accordance with your beliefs, values, and a religion and still be spiritual (or not if you choose.) Spirituality is more of a shift in our perspective and mindset, than a rigid structure or system, it is as fluid as you choose to make it. 💧 .
Are there tools under the ‘umbrella’ of spirituality that may go outside of the ethical or moral codes in a religion, absolutely, but are there also many that don’t, absolutely. Do you consider journaling innately religious? Probably not. But it is a way to self-reflect that can be considered spiritual. .
Ultimate, we get to choose what resonates with us. .
So is spirituality religious? Isn’t ‘how will you exercise powerful choice’ a better question? 💥

WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO STOP PRETENDING THIS IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM?
I'm mad. I've cried this week, almost taken by hopelessness. On Tuesday I went to the fruit/vegetable market that I'm used to go to. I've been there at least 4 other times and they have a good and cheap selection of produce. I always do as I described in the other post, regarding bringing my reusable bags and just putting the fruits and veggies straight in the cart, foregoing the use of those thin plastic bags they offer. This time though, the cashier made such a BIG DEAL about having to TOUCH the produce directly (oh, her disgusted face, you would think she was holding diarrhea), as to weight them, and gave me shit for not using the bags "like everyone else" (she actually started putting my stuff in said bags. But if she was keen to touch the produce to pack them, why wouldn't she just weight them straight?? 🤦♀️). The old couple behind me thought I was actually crazy and were talking about my 'stupid method' like I was so out of my mind that I wouldn't hear them laughing and talking about me 2 steps behind 🙄. It was a combination of factors that made me have almost a breakdown at the line and I confess I didn't deal with it the best way. Ideally, I would have the patience to explain why I was doing it and apologize for adding maybe 30 more seconds to the process 😒 but I got pretty bitchy and sarcastic about having to do the job of caring for the planet when they clearly weren't giving a shit, that I had a child on the way (yes, I played that card, not sorry) and that THEY should be ashamed about not caring, not me. The cashier kept repeating that it 'wasn't her problem' and I was seriously slapping her so hard in my full-of-hormones-crazy-imagination. I screamed then and I want to scream now: IT'S EVERYONE'S PROBLEM, PEOPLE!!! WE SHOULD ALL BE DOING SO MUCH MORE!! I don't even think we have much time left to do something, which adds to my hopelessness, but I have to try, WE HAVE TO TRY. For this fish in the video, for the future of my soon to be born baby. I might be losing my mind, but please tell me I'm not the only one?

Anyone else need this room in their house too? 🙋🏻♀️⠀
Movement & exercise help boost creativity and encourage learning! This bright, fun and movement focused room truly has it all ✨ #fridayfavoritespaces
Because it’s Friday & we all need a little Frenchie in our lives ✨Sometimes, just stopping to appreciate something adorable, beautiful, fascinating, etc. can be a form of self-care. If it makes you feel good, it’s good for your soul. Self-care doesn’t always have to be something big like a spa day or a weekend getaway to the beach. It can be as simple as a hot cup of tea, a cuddle moment with your pet, or even just sitting at your desk taking a few deep breaths. So on this Friday, I challenge you to see what little spontaneous types of self-care you engage in! Share them with me! 👇🏽 🙌🏽
The 'negative' feedback I received JUST this week. “Work on your writing to connect with a readers, not tell us how to feel in an infomercial way.”
“Maybe we should all do something more productive.. like feeding the homeless let's eradicate something that actually needs eradicating..haha (referring to teaching kids how to talk about sex)”. “I don’t think your business is scalable.”
“Your prices are too high.”
“I don’t want someone to tell me how to parent my child.”
“Ooh selling that product (guide on talking to kids about sex) is hard, good luck.” All of these comments were said to me THIS WEEK because I became MUCH more visible and extended outside of my online normal sphere and shared my mission loudly.
While yes… I also received comments such as… “I think your prices are actually a little low.”
“What you are doing is so amazing and so needed.”
“I’m committed to dismantling shame in this house so this is a great piece of the puzzle!”
People dropping in my inbox to ask advice on their sex life and how to release sexual shame.
Multiple people asking about my self-love/sex coaching because it connects with them.
A huge shift in one of my client’s energy from start to finish of our session.
You cannot please everyone.
As you become more and more visible, more people have opinions about how you do things.
It’s what you do with those opinions that hold the power.
Do you savor the celebrations and transformations?! Or Do you obsess over the feedback of how you ‘should’ be doing things differently?
Sometimes if I’m triggered, I see what I can learn from the situation.
Many times I ignore the comments and move on.
Sometimes I engage.
Sometimes I use those situations as learning opportunities.
I ALWAYS USE THIS ENERGY. Alchemize the negative energy into pure energy so that I can use it as fuel. Fuel for my mission. So often I end up thanking THOSE very people for giving me more fuel for the fire.
So to all of you sharing your truth with the world... KEEP IT UP!
Keep posting your vulnerabilities...someone needs to hear your message.
Keep promoting your products/services...they are the prize and so valuable.
Grit!! Moving on!
If you’re a soulful, female entrepreneur, and you’re finding yourself stuck in...
💥not feeling worthy or enough
And you want to...
🔥trust yourself and your message
🔥stop fighting with your stories and instead step into powerfully being with your whole self
🔥feel worthy and enough to share your truth with the world
🔥overcome fears that are keeping you blocked.
Then you have to step out of the conscious realm and into the unconscious realm.
You have to stop trying to fix, and start accepting, embracing and allowing.
You need to start creating space to experience yourself, instead of trying to control what you think and feel.
This is about learning a different way of being within, in order to transcend into who you are becoming (who you already ARE).

The other day I was too lazy to read so instead I turned on the TV, however, I still wanted to learn. I found one particularly interesting documentary, considering that over the past couple of weeks Drew and I've been purging the stuff we collected over the years it seemed fitting. I pressed play.
This documentary talked about living a simple life free of distractions. We live in an increasing consumption-based society. 24/7 we are being advertised to purchase products that will supposedly make us fulfilled.
Do they really make us happier?
Although Joshua and Ryan had some valid points I believe there is this thing called balance. It's crazy to think about how much unnecessary stuff we buy over the years. I could get rid of everything but I don't want to. I love our outdoor, hunting & photography gear way too much but I can start being more mindful of what I buy. Does it bring value to my life or is it just cluttering the home that we worked so hard to create?
The documentary is available on Netflix: Minimalism: Documentary About The Important Things

Ski, sleep, repeat - me in a parallel universe.
Little fun trick to find your soul’s magic:
Imagine 3 different parallel universes where you exist. How does your life look like? What do you do for a living? What is your hobby? What is your family life?
Once you imagined all the details, then think of how you can bring a piece of that life into your life in this universe.
In one of my lives: I live in a ski town, work as a waitress, and spend all my money to ski all winter with my family.
I bring a little piece of that life into my own by making sure I ski once a year. What is your parallel universe life and how to you bring it into your this life?
