Remembering Beihai Park II
I don’t normally take photos of people when I travel. I feel I’m being a little invasive if they are just there going about their business. Maybe I’m just sensitive because I don’t care for being on the other side of the lens. On this trip, it did happen to me. I was at a temple restaurant in Chengdu, when the locals sitting near me whipped out their phones to take photos of the crazy foreigner eating the spicy (aka mouth-numbing) Sichuan dish. So now I’m out there somewhere on Wechat. Back to this park...I expected to see people doing Tai Chi, which I did, but there was so much other activity, I felt compelled to capture it and share. How did you get comfortable photographing strangers? #beijing
