Messy hair don’t care 💁🏼♀️
Rise and Shine, we are halfway through the week! Have you started to make weekend plans yet?
🤣🤣🤣 AS IM SCROLLING THROUGH THIS MORNING! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 THIS HAS ME SO TICKLED! Happy hump day!
Now this is what you call a color correction and here’s why... (swipe to the end to see her before) ➡️ To start off, let me say this took 2 appointments. First, I lightened her mid-shaft (where you see the brassy caramel color), and then lifted her root. That was easy. But! We ran into some trouble when I lifted her ends... it exposed green! Why? 🤔 During the consultation, we determined she used an Ion purple direct dye that was still hiding underneath. (Purple = Blue+Red. The underlying pigment of blue is green) Using more lightener was only bringing that stubborn teal green to the surface even more. So I tried using Lunex Light, a gentle stain remover, on her ends... no luck 😣 Lastly, I used Malibu direct dye remover on her ends at the sink and luckily that removed about 95% of the green 🙌🏻 Finally! After toning, and a healthy trim, the end result was this beautiful blonde. I sent her home with some color conditioner, and she’ll return every 6 weeks for a root touch up and toner.

Who doesn’t like a little quickie?! I’m videoing myself here so it’s a little harder but just a little closer look into teasylights! Tips⬇️
If they want a very lived in look I have been using conditioner to push back tease! Helps also with blending & also getting the tease out!
Creating peeks & valleys then SOFTLY feathering upwards helps to keep dimensional pockets threw out hair so your not lighten to high up on every piece! ( believe me I have definitely made that mistake )
Also saturating ends where you want most pow & then root to mids little lighter so the melt is more seem less! .
If you want lots of lift from almost root to end then I would saturate higher up because if not you will not get enough lift!
If only wanting small melt I would not use conditioner just softly feather last 1” or so up then melt together at bowl!

Bold 👊🏼 and Beautiful #frenchbalayage
What is the difference? French Balayage is how it all started, taking each individual piece and sweeping on the lightener resulting in a bolder look.
