Will was feeling very tired after hours of walking. The scenery had, gradually, begun to change, from his familiar forest with the birch trees to a new and different territory with darker and larger trees. He sat down on the roots of one of them in order to rest, trying not to think of his bold decision to leave, as regrets have slowly started to creep in. His eyes were closing; almost ready to fall asleep when he heard some noise. It was a faint song accompanied by a tangy smell coming from far into the woods. After some thought his curiosity got the better of him so he followed the sound which lead him to a small clearing. The sight in front of him was very unexpected. In the middle of the clearing, there was a really big and round, orange object glowing brightly. Will hadn’t seen anything like it before. The sour and tangy odour was even stronger now, coming off in big whiffs from the object. Surrounding it, were four small figures wearing red cloaks, touching it gently and singing some words repeatedly.
One of them, suddenly, noticed Will and stopped singing, startling his friends. “Hey you, what’s ya doin’ here?” he asked, and he turned to look at him.
He had wolf ears and a nose that looked like a combination between a fox and a cat but his figure was human like. His friends, from what Will could see, were similar to him, all with more than one animal characteristic and human bodies. “um” Will murmured scared “I..” “oh, well, if ya don’t have nothin’ to do, fancy helpin’ us?” he asked, while the others looked at him in surprise. “what’s you doin’ Frederick, askin’ help from a glowin’ orb” the sheep-like one said (1/2) check the comments for the rest .
