What’s your one action today?
When I don't feel like cleaning, I try to remember that cleaning, daily tasks, and repetitive mundane things are some of the most important things we do every day. By avoiding the 'boring' tasks like emptying our dishwasher, we're really making it harder to get to the things we really love, like cooking a nice meal. ⠀
'Chop wood, carry water' is an expression from zen buddhism, and I repeat it to myself when I feel lethargic or distracted. It reminds me that cleaning and housekeeping isn't a project that gets finished, it's a way of life that we accept each day so we can have clarity and purpose, making way for our true passions, whatever they may be.⠀

1. You must INTEND to win.
· This is the difference in being casual about your goals and being committed. Is there a difference between a competitive golfer and a casual golfer? Oh yeah. The committed golfer takes it seriously. He’s playing to win. The casual golfer is just having fun during his time off. The difference is the degree of seriousness.
If you’re going to win in life, it’s got to be intentional. It’s not going to happen by accident or without effort. How serious are you?
2. You must DISCIPLINE yourself.
No athlete becomes a pro athlete without training. You don’t become great by doing whatever you feel like doing. There are no shortcuts to maturity. There are no shortcuts to greatness.
What are some things you are doing that impede your progress and therefore your PURPOSE? Michelangelo said that when he looked at the block of marble he SAW David, he just needed to cut out all that got in the way of bringing the statue of David to it's Glory. What do YOU need to cut out?

3. You must stay FOCUSED on the reward.
You can handle enormous pain and discipline in your life if you realize there’s a purpose for it and that there’s going to be a payoff at the end.

So today I drew a line in the sand ____________________ no more procrastination it’s been a few months and I’ve not been going to the gym as often letting bad habits slide back, it’s so much easier isn’t it not to be disciplined or consistent but then my weight creeps up and I feel sluggish so 7am I walked into the leisure club and went for a swim ! I recently shared with a friend that I talk to about 50-100 people a day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some through texts, emails or phone calls. Some face-to-face. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So in order to keep my phone from controlling my life, I literally set business hours. I work approximately 5:30-7am each morning, and then depending on the day, maybe another hour or two in chunks of time throughout the day. Again, it depends on the day's schedule. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But that time each morning is intentional and effective. Obviously, several people I contact are not awake or responsive during that time, so how do I handle the responses I get all day long? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don't. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I turn off my notifications and I CHOOSE when to respond to people. Literally...my text messages don't even reach the home screen of my phone because I don't want to answer messages on the fly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"But what if you miss someone who's ready to get started with you?" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Listen, if someone chooses not to begin their journey with me as their coach because I didn't respond immediately to them, if they aren't still ready and willing when I get back to them during the time I have set aside to work, then they are not worth compromising my values. We probably aren't a good fit for each other. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That's some of the best advice I've been given, and it's how I now structure my work week and how I lead my team of friends. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don't be a slave to your phone and your messages and your notifications, friends. Be smart and scheduled. Be guarded. And when it's time to respond to messages, respond and get to work. Don't scroll and waste time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even if you don't work from your phone, I dare you to implement this change into your life. Simply turning off your notifications can radically change your day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I am often told I’m so motivated. That I inspire people because I have had a weight loss transformation. Because I try to stay positive more than I get down and that I often find the silver lining in situations. That I have endless energy that others wish they had.
Let’s dispel some myths, shall we? 😜
✨ Motivation is a crock. You may find something that makes you want to make good choices and keeps you going, but motivation dust does not exist, as far as I can tell. I am not “motivated”, I’m disciplined. 🙌🏼
✨ Inspiration can come from SO MANY things, people and places, so I’m glad that people get that from me. I’m honestly just passing it along from others that •I• find inspiring and just doing my thing. I feel blessed to feel called to pass it along and help others. 🙏🏼
✨ Have you been watching my stories the last few days?! Prime example of a time when I’ve gotten down. 😂 Real life happens, and it’s not always in your control to magically fix it. But staying positive and having faith that things will work out goes a long way in dealing with the yuck stuff. Getting down is one thing. Staying down is another entirely.
✨ I love naps and I take them as often as I can. Know that. ✌🏼 I go hard when I’m awake because I don’t exactly have a choice, but sleep is my favorite 😜
All this to say, if you feel •blah• (especially this time of year) find something that sets your soul on fire. Then DO THAT! Motivate and inspire yourself. These people make me want to get better. 👇🏼 All the time! Maybe you love your job that much. Maybe you feel called to help others to the point that it pulls you out of bed every morning. Whatever it is, go find it! It’s totally worth the journey, even when you stumble! ❤️

Trust in the process if it challenges you. A person cannot grow if they are comfortable and untested. Resistance builds strength, fortitude, and discipline.
Stay the course even if you cannot stay strong, because you are building the strength as you go along.
‼️KEEP MOVING FORWARD. However, oftentimes we need to pause for a moment and reflect on our own mistakes and learn from it. We don’t need to dwell on the past because what happened it’s already done but recognize our mistakes is crucial for our growth. Be humble!!👊🏼
