On 05-Feb-19 Sewaro restaurant in Manama was TuesdaytastersInc's tasting no.3 of 2019!!
We didn't know what to expect, except for 1or2 dishes that we heard about.
Mind you, this is Manama center, near Bab Al Bahrain, so parking can be an issue depending on what time you go. And the restaurant is a little, very basic setup, seating and ambience on 2 floors, that seems clean/decent enough to accomodate families.
Our server's English wasn't great but he tried to understand properly & respond. We communicated in hindi, but for those that can't and are new to Nepal food, just use the menu, ask what is what and then point 😉
So what was yummy, you ask? Well, as we were told, their momos & thukpa, of course. 🤤 In particular, the faksha thukpaa and faksha momos!!! Yumm!! Fried rice was ok. The dry beef (i think its called Sukuti) is not for everyone- but probably the type to have with a beer I guess, if you order in. (They don't serve alcohol). They're vegetables in the set rice plate was good too but note, the chicken was with skin and tough.
All in all, it was a nice place to experience for the first time. I'm definitely gonna eat the momos again. We gave it a rating of 6/10, which is not bad for a place like that. We closed the night with a nice warm Safron tea ♨️ from Fillis chai down the road.
As always, Lovely people, Lovely time! Kudos to the experimenters that came. Peace out! ✌
